Help for my right hip
Guys, I'm looking for help to help fix my right hip. It's much tighter in the flexor/Glute region on my right side. I notice it all the time, and it's even affecting my left sub scapular(shoulder) region now because it is so whacked up/tight. My left leg now seems longer than my left, and this affects everything including my right foot placement when I'm walking. I'm pretty sure it is out of alignment, and these flimsy stretches arent cuttin it.
Where should I seek help, or better yet can I correct the problem on my own?
I should probably go see a physiotherapist I'm sure, but I'm a cheap ass.
I probably sound like I'm whining but I've been dealing with this for a while, and finally just want to solve the problem
Thanks for all your help fella's. Reps of course

Sadly, this is too complex of a problem to give people self exercises for it. If you want to be a cheap ass get
Travell & Simons' Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction: The Trigger Point Manual
http://www.amazon.com/Travell-Simons...1283823&sr=8-6
and
Muscle Energy Techniques with DVD-ROM (Paperback)
http://www.amazon.com/Muscle-Energy-...1283873&sr=1-1
Or go to someone that knows trigger point therapy via a combination of massage, MET, and Stretching
You can try to stretch out the muscle your self
ilium, quatrutus lumborum, most people find it hard to hit the QL

From the sources I've read about fixing a "functional short leg" many recommend stretching the muscles the above poster has mentioned and also focusing on single leg work like lunges and split squats. Best recommendation would be to see a therapist who works with active release, trigger points, sports massage, stretching, etc.
Also if you put ur wallet in ur back pocket over time this will cause problems in hip alignment.

Do you have a leg length discrepancy?

The ilium and quatrutus lumborum stretches are difficult, mostly PNF. I finally got enough nerve to drop the full $230+ on these two books, hope they do the trick. Thanks again for the help
