Thumbs up First post, might as well get to the point.

I've been reading here lightly for a couple months, but decided to register today. Before I post pics, hopefully someone can tell me how to access that screen where you enter your stats and set goals... i HAD it and then x'ed out accidentally and wasnt finished, so that would be cool since i thought that was a cool, unexpected perk to registering here. Thanks in advance for that.

Now, onto some pics and info.

Here i am about 2 years ago (Hard to find a pic without a shirt on, but this is my natural build, right around 160 pounds +/-, unsure on bodyfat, probably 12-13%)

And 2 days ago: 6ft even, 179 pounds, 12% bodyfat, absolutly no cardio work(cant stand it) ... Keep in mind ive only been steadily lifting for the past few months and have just recently started getting truely dedicated to it. i find myself LOOKING FORWARD to getting in the gym all the time, which is new for me. Enough talk.

Actually maxed 265 flat bench today which is a new high for me.

Havnt really began focusing on deadlifts YET, so im unsure on that.

As far as squatting, ive just started getting into them, my plan is to start easy and work up... pretty unimpresive at this point. i could PROBABLY squat more than i am now, HOWEVER, with horible knee genetics on both sides of my family, im gonna take it slow. My dad is 42 and has already had surgery on both knees. Grandfather on the other side has had both replaced.'

    Lemme know what you think

thanks for the encouraging words...hopefully soon, the term "skinny" will no longer define me.

bout 4 months ago i was attempting a 185 max on the bench for the first time, and it wasn't but a month or two ago that i was struggling to put up 225 for a single rep. at this point i can put 225 up about 6-7 times after a few lighter sets (185) and max 265...is that much of an increase uncommon? I only ask because I began and continue to work out with a roomate who is built very similarly to me. Since we started he has made next to NO gains in size OR strength...

I also have looked through some profiles of some bigger guys and their barbell curls seem to be lower than i would expect. i can rep 115lbs 5-6 times and 135 once with GOOD form. Does this seem abnormal? However, even at 6ft and 180+/- pounds i could probably knock out 20-25 pullups, always been one of my strongpoints...

just found some more exact dates. Sept. 15, 2007 i was 163 pounds and maxed around 185 pounds. as of Nov.1, 2007 i maxed 225 pounds for the first time. weight 170 pounds. currently, 180 pounds, max 265(last week).

up untill december, my efforts were sporatic and inconsistent, and just now have i started hitting the gym religiously.

am i making good progress here?
