BodySpace Workout Tracker: My ideas for updgrades
I think the Workout Tracker would benefit from the following upgrades:
1. Be able to edit the number of sets. Ofcourse one can do this when entering the workout but if having submitted a workout you realise you omitted a set or two then you can't add them in. You have to delete and start from scratch.
2. Be able to edit the exercises. You can edit or delete existing exercises but you cannot add new ones to a previously submitted workout.
3. Be able to view all workouts "at a glance". The charts are great but being able to view all your workout entries on one scrollable page would be a great addition, even if this is limited to a month-by-month basis.
4. Be able to submit multiple workouts per day. At present you can only submit one.
5. The ability to track cardio workouts.
6. When you click "want to use your own exercise name", have a drop down menu that remembers what you typed last time. The benefit of this would be accurate tracking. If you write wide grip pulldown in last week's workout and wide grip pulldowns in this weeks, BodySpace treats the two as different exercises, so your statistics for volume, weight and reps are skewed.
Anyone else have any ideas?

Currently I use this as my workout log. Unfortunately my reps/ set and weights per reps are thrown off my me adding in my cardio. None of the averages are what they should be. However I need to track them as well and they are equally as important to weights. Easier modification of an existing workout would be an awesome feature as well. I have found I can change the exercises at the end before saving but still can not add a new one if I do not replace one of the others. Most important for me would be the cardio, just make a link for add Cardio workout with a drop down selection for resistance level, and speed and another field for time.
By the way, I absolutely love to use this because it keeps me accountable to everyone on the site if I am not doing what I need to be doing. Thanks a million!

Chris,
Perhaps you could add your cardio in notes on the Workout Tracker rather than as an exercise.

Hehe, those are awesome ideas.
1. They could add an extra row with a plus sign above the notes (another thing you cannot edit when doing your entries.) This would make sense to a lot of people.
2. Same as above. Add a row with a plus sign under all the other exercises.
3-6 are great functional fixes.
I would add that it would be great if we could alter the order of the exercises. Maybe have a combo box to the left of the exercises instead of a static number, or put up and down arrows next to the number so people know exactly what it does. I find the latter would be more user friendly and idiot proof (instead of having to code for erroneous combinations of movements).

You should definitely be able to add more than one workout in a day.

A nice addition would be an option to also view charts and statistics over a selected period of time, or within a user-defined program.
This way, users can more easily evaluate their progress against the work put in during a program. Such a feature may also help with goal setting since users can see factors increase starting from the beginning of the goal instead of just over their entire time on bodybuilding.com.
When viewing a specific workout in past months you only have the option to "View Other Workouts". This brings you back to the current month. It would be useful to also have view next/previous workout, and view workouts within this month options.
Thank you,
Charles

I was really lovin the workout tracker until it stopped working on me. I wrote the tech team about 6 times to no avail. I ended up going to some girly site where they have one. Joined that site just for the wk out tracker. My suggestion would be to make the thing work and then I would even pay for it, I liked it just that much. This site is great, the forums are good, the news letter, store, everything except the non responsive tech team.
Make it work then include a section for cardio.
