A Question For All You Fat Loss Enthusiasts

I am currently 165 pounds, and 6'2, but i am soft. I was curious, how low a body fat percentage could i possibly achieve by doing HIIT and eating a clean diet, consisting mainly of fruit & vegetables (clean food)? In other words to make it simple, is it possible to reach bodybuilder fat levels (7-8%) without actually being a bodybuilder, or do i need to pack on a couple of hundred pounds worth of muscle to be able to reach that low? I am more into the fitness side of things, not actual muscle building, i know, that without a lot of muscle i wont look as good at a lower bf %, but even so, is it still possible?

at 6 ft 2 and 165, most people here will say Lean bulk , build some more muscle first before cutting. at your height you should be around 180-185 cut. If you try cutting at 165, you may end up at 155 cut which is puny for that height

7-8% would probably look pretty prison-camp survivorish on your frame. It'd also probably not be possible to maintain unless you had some extra muscle.

You'd also definately have to lift to reach it no matter what.

But yeah, I'd recommend bulking first but at least lift while cutting or you'll end up at 110lbs still without abs.

yea, if you didnt have more muscle 7% would be hard and look skeletorish. Bulking or clean bulking would be the way. Perhaps you could continue the weight loss but really up the protein and hit the weights hard.
