It's cals in -vs- cals out. If you have extra calories hanging around, yes, they will more than likely be stored as fat. Especially if it's Cheerios or Special K. Both being quite high in processed carbs, and also probably the worst choice as your midnight meal. Are you bulking? I don't see why you need to eat at 2:00 otherwise, and not the right stuff either.

I dont know why, but there is nothing better than a bowl of cereal before bead.
However, its not the greatest thing to be eating.
Eating before bed is not really too much of a problem though, just try to avoid carbs.
A fairly popular bed time meal around this board is cottage cheese and peanut butter. Slow digesting protein and a good fat... mmmm

If you have a problem with night time eating, try to sleep in earlier. If that's not your thing, then try to avoid buying anything like cereals (unless it's someone else in the household that buys them) It's all a matter of self-control. I did have a problem like that. Pretty much the reason for me being fat as a kid. You control the food you eat, don't let it control you.
As a plus, if your trying to gain muscle and lose fat, which is quite hard, you cannot have stuff like cheerios and other crap. You have to keep your diet extremely clean, make proper use of pwo nutrition, incorporate cardio and weight training, make sure your getting cals as close to maintain. as possible (the deficit being brought around by exercise, not cal restriction), and some supps can help as well. It's extremely hard to do, near impossible. All comes down to your genetics.

Replace those with Oats and Brown Rice, and then we're eating clean. Whole foods, not processed junk. It does make a difference. BUT, if you are tightchecked and don't have time to prepare food and stuff alike, then yes, those choices are quite healthy from what you could pick. Another alternative is Fiber 1 for cereal, it has a good amount of fiber, with no sugar added (sweetend w/ splenda).

the best thing i've found is to get the crap food out of your house... i was craving junk yesterday as it was sunday and i was sitting around doing nothing. I searched my cupboards and couldn't find anything bad to eat.. the worst i found was some dry biscuts so i put some natural peanut butter on em n had a snack
The body can achieve what the mind can conceive
Great Diet + Plenty of Exercise + Plenty of Rest = Results

blacheart being crying destiny, you are officially what many people call anorexic, go see a specialist, because you are going to hurt yourself. I saw your pictures and your already too skinny, but u plan on loosing more fat and u actually think ur 26% bodyfat, which is like impossible for a girl unless she's really short at 110 pounds.
Seriously listen to people on these forums and get help, and if your going to snap and bitch at me don't bother it won't make a difference what i think, my point is trying to make a difference in what you think.

Alright, you honestly have got to stop striving for perfectionism. You will fail. You will never be happy. Instead look for positive changes. Choosing to eat healthy is a big step. Keeping up eating healthy is even better. Be proud of yourself for sticking to these. Don't discourage yourself because you can't get it down perfectly. I thought you were male. 26% for a female isn't high at all. You will get leaner, but it will take time. How much? All depends. Don't put out a set point to achieve that goal. Instead keep looking for positive changes and working towards your goal. It may take over a year of doing something that simple, but rest assure it will work. If it doesn't, atleast your getting somewhere. A little more time and you'll be there.
Nutrition doesn't have to be that hard. Your making it harder for yourself. It's a simple as eating less calories than you take in and no having sugary stuff. Just try it that way. Yes, you will be amazed at how something so small, can get you further than you ever thought. Go out, live a little. Forget about fretting over nothing. Live and learn!

are you 100% sure its the same person AntiDeath.....If it is the same girl you dont have 26% bf and if your trainer says that he's insane. Yes he is probably qualified and a nice dude and everything. But ask anyone on this forum, ask a doctor, ask your parents and they will all say that you have no where near 26%.
Im telling you as many guys have before. Even though im 18 and my hormones are running wild you in your current state would have me pointing you out to my friends. But if I happened to see you in an Australian club, in my opinion and this is not meant to be offensive but I would have been all over you like white on rice on a paper plate in a snow storm when you were 135. Obviously my opinion means jack because im just one in 200 guys who has shared basically the same thing but im telling it anyway...Sure your very attractive right now but please lose no more.
If it somehow isnt the same girl then forget what I said...........................Last edited by Outsider4life; 01-23-2006 at 06:16 AM.
