    BEST Protein for BULKING?

    What's the best protein for BULKING for a hard-gainer?

    I normally use ON Whey protein but I'm really bumping up the caloric intake but trying to maintain a CLEAN bulk. So what do you guys suggest for the best BULKING protein?

    I was thinking about:

    CytoSport Muscle Milk
    ErgoPharm Mass Meal

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    ErgoPharm Mass Meal Chocolate Fudge taste is amazing i cant say enough about how good this stuff is ingredients are very good as well its one of my favorite supps. If you just compare ingredients Mass Meal is 100x better than Muscle Milk and taste cant even be compared.

    For pre and post workout you're going to want to keep something like the ON whey.

    When else do you take protein (your Whey) and do you substitute it for a meal as an MRP, or do you add it to your meal?

    I take Substance WPI (whey protein isolate) pre and post workout. I was looking for a casein protein to take before bed.

    make your own wt gainer...you know whats in it and how much your getting...
    get a good casien protien
    and some egg protien powder
    throw in oats wheat germ FF milk honey and the kitchen sink...

    Whey is Whey, Isolate is isolate.. no protein can bulk you up.. its the amount of calories youre getting. Say you weigh 200 lbs.. say youre getting 200g protein a day but youre only getting 2200 cals.. youre not going to gain mass really at all.

    For a good caloric intake id go with two cups of milk, two tbsp of pb, one banana, two scoops protein, some oats maybe, whatever else you want blended up..

    i went to the classic last year..which is about to roll around in a month or so...and i had countless bbers tell me that casein is pointless to buy..mix milk and whey together and it becomes the same as a casein protein...it makes sense since milk is primarily casein proteins, as most dairy things are.

    thats also silly too if you think about. why buy any protien powder at all then..milk is 80% casien 20% whey...that makes whey and casien both useless...

    why does it make them both useless? whey is good for obvious reasons...directly after a workout for its quick bv values...casein is good for prolonging digestion..i merely made a comparison that one can add milk to whey to make a homemade casein that has the same effects of a standard casein protein. both have they perks i dont see how you deducted they are both useless

    i deducted they were both pointless/useless cause they are "both" in milk. and thats from the BB'ers you spoke too. i was just generalizing as they were.

    my point was that since casien is in milk (making casien powder pointless)and since whey is milk (that would make whey pointless too if casien is pointless, since its already in milk), according to the BB'ers you spoke to they might as well have suggest just drinking milk. and dont worry about powders. it was more a comment out of sarcasim.

    no it does not...
    the whey in milk will still be rapidily absorbed
    the casien in milk will still be slowly digest
    you get the best of both worlds.
    the only thing that slows down protien digestion is carb type/fibers/and fats. FF milk is great for post work out in this aspect as it has no fat and has simple sugars (helping with and not hindering protien absorbtion)

    Keep the ON Whey Protein. Get the Muscle Milk.

    In the morning you're going to want to take the normal dose of ON Whey Protein.

    Right before working out, you're going to want to take your normal dose of Muscle Milk.

    After working out your going to want to double your dose of ON Whey Protein.

    And right before going to bed, you're going to want to drink some muscle milk on an empty stomach. You can double the dose if you want to.

    This suggestion is good for bulking up though I don't know how your diet is like.
