It's not that great, its a ton of chemicals, one every once in a while if you have a soda craving is fine, but drink water instead its much better for you."I do not agree with a word you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it." Voltaire

Aspartame is not bad for you, neither is carbonation, and if you brush your teeth it won't make your teeth brown!
The only thing that might be wrong with diet soft drinks is the caffeine. There was a bit of a buzz about it recently on T-mag, they wrote a long article discussing it called the 'Caffeine Roundtable'
search for it at www.t-mag.com

Aspartame in high doses can cause horrendous problems in the body (I've seen it with an older female friend of mine because she went into the "diet-everything" craze; most diet products have aspartame as an artificial sweetener), carbonation hinders performance in sports, and fructose isn't as good as dextrose for post-workout sugar.

Also all the acids that are in it... Ever seen the things where people dissolve a nail in coke? You think it doesn't do the same to your teeth? You can feel it after drinking pop, it makes your teeth feel soft.
