A Million Benefits of Picamilon? We'll See! Nick's Unique Nutrition Log
Hey everyone! Here's what you need to know about me:
Name: Nick
Age: 19
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 156lbs
Link to current workout journal:
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=3338131
My workout program is new to my style of lifting. I am doing 5 days a week of lifting, one BP per day (similar to Max OT), while using undulating periodization within my workouts. I don't think my workouts are as important as the effects of the Picamilon, for this log at least, so I will not be posting workouts on here (for now). I want to give you guys a purely, unbiased opinion of Picamilon and what I feel from it. (other unique supps may follow in this log?)
Well, I'm off to lift some chest. My first dose will be one pill PWO to gauge the initial effects. Thanks for stopping by.

Looking forward to how it works out for ya Nick.
Have you ever used anything like this before?

Hey JB, thanks man.
I used L-Huperzine A last spring. It is supposed to help with memory and recall, and I think it did help a bit, but I couldn't give you exact effects because so much else was going on with my body at that point (liver).
Picamilon is a compound not only meant to help with mental focus, but also support relaxation along with lowering stress levels.
So I would say I have not used anything with these exact effects.

According to it's supplement facts, it is a plant alkaloid.

Yeah that's what I heard. It's up to you guys to judge. I've never taken any of their supplements, and if something doesn't sit well with me, I'm not going to lie about it. I don't want anyone else having an adverse effect from a supplement, but if the supplement works well, I would like people to be aware.
You can stick around and see what happens. Just take everything with a grain of salt.

January 22nd 3:15pm - 150mg
I just swallowed my first pill, and it's pretty good that I did. Right now I'm a tad stressed because my roommate is a slacker and needs to "look" at my homework, that I worked HARD on. I'll give some feedback a little later.

Off to a good start. Are you using the 50 or 150 mg dose?

So, I'm almost two hours into the first capsule, here's what I feel at this point in time:
I am definitely focused. My attention is not as diverted as it was last week (esp due to the new semester). I can't say that the picamilon is the cause of this though, I am juts reporting how I feel.
Less stressed? Maybe? Can't really assess that atm.
I don't have any weird feeling though.

It's been about 4 hours. I still feel like I can tackle more homework (which I plan on) but I don't feel worn out. Focus is still there. Not feeling lazy.

No problems to report of when I went to sleep, only that I still felt pretty alert by the time I went to bed.

January 23rd 4:10pm 150mg
Day #2
I just took Picamilon for the second day. Right now I am pretty amped from my workout, and I don't know if I can be in a better mood at this point. I'm really gauging to see how it affects my relaxation and mental focus though today. Since I am pretty hyped up, I want to see how the Picamilon will affect and/or change that.

Do you know if this is something you can take 365, or do you need to cycle on and off once in a while?

I believe that most of these products can be used for a good amount of time, because they are naturally occuring and, as I understand, most of the supplements I read about have a VERY LOW toxicity if any at all.

Update
Last night was weird. I tried falling asleep the same time that I always do, and I couldn't. My heart was racing for two hours until I finally did go to sleep. I don't know what the cause was. What I do know, is that I was extremely alert. I don't think I'm going to take the Picamilon later this afternoon, I might skip it for the day. Are there any alternative times that may also be beneficial to take it??

That's interesting. Anything that you can think of that kept you up, like worrying about something?

see that's the thing, it's early in the semester, and I'm pretty relaxed right now, so I don't get it. I'm just hesitant to take anything right now. I'm just going to go without the Picamilon today and see what happens.

Jan 25th 4:03pm - 150mg
It's friday, so I'm not too worried about this affecting my sleep. If anything, it's supposed to relax me, so I'm trying not to think that I had sleeping problems because of the picamilon. I'll see how I feel later on in the night. I have a good amount to do before I relax also.
Also thinking of taking this before I snowboard tomorrow?? Why not?

Effects of today's dose
I feel pretty antsy right now. I've been reading some stuff for school, and I can't stop moving my leg subconsciously, lol. I feel like I can keep doing work, but I want to stop, but I might as well ride the wave.

January 26th 12:20pm - 150mg
I decided to take a pill before I go snowboarding to keep me from getting mentally fatigued. Update when I get back.

Morning is fine. Never heard of Picamilon having any effect in the heart aside from maybe lowering blood pressure.

Picamilon in higher dose tends to be more stimulanting you may want to lower it down alittle.

Thanks for the responses!!
I am going to start taking it in the morning instead then, and see how it affects my alertness.
I can't lower the doseage though, I only have the 150mg capsules
