BSN CellMass and advice

I have been considering starting on creatine and/or glutamine for a while and came across a product called CellMass, "Creatine-Ethyl-Ester-Malate (or CEM3), Glutamine AKG and the most powerful sugar free insulinogenic (Cinnulin-PF) ever introduced to the body". Anyone else here had any experience with it?

product description: http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/bsn/cell.html

It's getting good reviews from the main supplement forum, but I am still hesitant. The only supplements I have ever used are whey protien and a good multivitamin! I am 17 weeks out from my first contest, at about 16% body fat and would like to get down to about 10%. So, I worry about starting creatine at this point and bloating while I'm trying to lose lots of body fat.

The fat loss is coming along okay, but I'm starting to see a little muscle loss too. Another big problem for me has always been DOMS. I hobble around like an idiot for 4 days after a heavy leg workout. I am hoping that this type of creatine/glutamine combo will help with both of those.

Appreciate any thoughts!

it is a good product.. The list of ingredients look solid and in the right amounts to provide a positive stimuli.

CEM3 will not bloat you up like the regular old creatine monohydrate, which were notorious for water-retention in it's day. Taking this product would help you retain your performance level in the gym during this stressful cutting period.

If you are getting DOMs, a good supplement you should start thinking about is free-form BCAAs. They are anti-catabolic and reduce delayed onset muscle soreness especially when mega-dosed around your workout time.. By mega-dosing, I'm referring to dosages between 10-20g for a female..

Since you are cutting, muscle retention becomes a big concern, and free-form BCAAs would be a perfect solution as they are anti-catabolic in nature..

A very good product is the watermelon-flavored BCAA product made by SCIVATION called Xtend... You can also get this in bulk powder for cheaper, although it will take 30 minutes to dissolve in water and taste like chalk powder dipped in bile

Thanks!!! You are the best, Mr. Aries.

Did some quick research on BCAAs and Xtend. I'm interested in the product, but it also contains glutamine (2.5 grams per serving). Forgive me if I'm being stupid, but would I be overdoing it on the glutamine if I took it the Xtend along with the creatine/glutamine combo of Cellmass?

Or should I go with a product that only has BCAAs and no additional nonessential Amino Acids like Eclipse 2000 Deluxe BCAA if I chose to stick with the CellMass? http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/eclipse/bcaa.html

i wouldnt' worry too much about glutamine.. there is conflicting research on it's efficacy and additional glutamine does not cause an overload... 2.5g per serving is really a miniscule amount of glutamine to be concerned with, even though cellmass already comes with 2g of GEE..

Xtend is probably the best BCAA product on the market that manages to taste good in the watermelon flavor... If you choose BCAA pills, they are going to become an annoyance fast when you have to swallow 10 gigantic horsepills during your workout everytime..
