well i got lucky as hell today

I am driving(not going fast at all) and then i hit a patch of ice and went into the side of the road almost hit a mail box..then went into the opposite of the road and was going head on with a car and seriously thought i was about to die

missed the car and slid into the side of hill/ditch thing and got my car stuck

two kids were nice enough to stop and push me out

they were behind me and thought for sure i was gonna crash into the car head on

I had no seat belt on and really feel like I got extremely lucky.. No damage to my car(a tiny bit of radiator fluid was in the snow it looked like but its not leaking anymore so i dunno).. No damage to the yard really at all

I believe depending on the state, age, and/or where a person is sitting, seat belt laws can be primary or secondary. If secondary, you'll only get a ticket if you're already being ticketed for something else.

Tragic, bro! Something like this happened to me when I was 16. It was a rainy day when I spun out making a right hand turn onto a slick road. There was a car coming and my car spun just enough to miss it. Either way, I kept skidding and when the car finally came to a stop - I was parked neatly in front of a church with the cross shining right in my. i remember when i got a speeding ticket(cop gave me a non moving violation instead) he asked me why he pulled me over and i was so nervous and stupid and said because i wasnt wearing my seat belt lol

Similar thing happened to me last year. There is no doubt that belt saved me. As soon as my car hit tha embankment everything literally appeared to happen in slow motion. It's those scenes that still to this day replay in my mind over and over again. I can still remember thinking if I'm going to be hurt, please God let this be it. I hung upside down in my car for about 20 mins until EMS came to cut me out of my belt. Part of my front and passenger side windows busted out. I have no idea how I crawled out of there with only small briar patch type nicks and cuts. My mom who is an RN told me I'd be so sore tha next day... well, that next day I was in tha gym doing squats.

Although I typically would wear a seatbelt most of tha time, I can't honestly say I'd wear one 100% during that time. God wedged me in his elbow and held me tight that day.
