For every inch deeper you go, how much more difficult does the squat get?

You know how you see guys that are like 140lbs and 5'11, been training for 1 year and they claim to squat 350 for reps, but they fail to mention they only go 2 inches down.

Well how much more difficult is a 2 inch down squat VS paralell squat VS full squat interms of the weight you can move?

Im so curious, when i see someone whos been training for 1 year as described claiming some outrageous numbers then i compare them to some big dude whos been training for 8 yrs whos barley pulling the same numbers it mkes me wonder about this

For every increment of depth you achieve the amount of force required to overcome the weight becomes exponentially greater.

The mechanical advantage gained by only small changes in joint angles is very large.

So your saying At the top of the lift going down a bit futher doesnt make it much more difficult, but when your below paralell each inch makes a huge diff?

No. I'm saying a little bit of change in either direction will cause a big change in the amount of weight you can lift, throughout the entire lift.

This is like one of those "if I dumbell bench such and such what can I put up on the barbell bench".

Suffice to say that the deeper you go, the harder it gets.

but im just wondering HOW significantly it changes. you know.

If someone squats 3 plates To paraell the theyre going to do alot more than 3 plates using half the ROM

It will be different for everyone and there are numerous factors involved. There is no useful/meaningful/standard answer.
