Wow strong ignorance displayed.
THE PECS ADDUCT THE UPPER ARMS.

Obviously depending on how you do pulldowns, they will be involved more or less.
But a wide grip pulldown pulling STRAIGHT down is certainly going to involve the pecs to some degree.
Are they a good pec exercise?
For a huge majority of people, no, due to the line of pull. The body recruits the muscles that have the most FAVORABLE line of pull most heavily, contrary to popular belief.CSCS, ACSM cPT.

Stupid *******, he wanted to know if wide grip lat pulldowns would be a good chest exercise. Would you recommend that in someone chest routine dick? Just because a certain muscle "moves" during a movement doesn't mean it's stimulated enough to cause any kind of hypertrophy response.
LOL... do lat pulldowns everyday and tell me how much your chest grows.

x2.
LOL, you couldn't be more stupid. The line between pulling and pushing isn't that clear cut. Theres also a difference in the muscles used between horizontal pulling and vertical pulling..WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT!?!. As D1 said, if pulldowns are done with strict form (vertical) without leaning back the pecs are going to be used as the upper arms are basically going through the same motion as they do when cable crossovers are done. Your chest doesn't magically disappear just because you start flexing at the elbow instead of extending.
Take your ignorance elsewhere. You claim to have a wealth of bb'ing knowledge but you know jack **** when it comes to actual anatomic muscular function.

shutup troll, the OP never asked whether or not pulldowns are a good exercise for pecs or whether he should add them to his routine, he just wanted to know if he can do pulldowns the day after his chest day.
If you even bothered to read D1's post:Are they a good pec exercise?
