How much bulk?

I am looking for figure girls feedback especially on this one.. but all is appreciated.

I just had my first show in November and I will not be competing again until the end of june early july. How much weight, and bf% gain is typical during this bulking season?

I don't want to create to much work come cutting time!!

I can only speak for natural training, and it is not much for female naturals.
In an off season bulking you can gain 4-10lb lean over 4-6 mths naturally with all the right factors in play, excluding anabolics...........my experience with that is nil but from what I gather, depending on what you use and how much for how long you can make major gains...........if you can handle all the side effects.
for taht type of info you may want to hit the anabolics section if it pertains to you.

Thanks for the input.. After losing all the weight I did it is REALLY hard for me to accept the fact that the scale should go up at all!

Keep in mind that to gain muscle...there will be some fat gain. But that is why it is off season...so you can grow and then have time to diet back down for your show. 1/2-1lb a week is a good gain for a bulk.

Focus on your weights going up in the gym to keep you going and motivate you.

omg do I know what hyou mean, coming from an anorexic history, I think that 'gain lean mass' mentality is what has kept me from falling back into those habits.

i would say between 10 and 20 pounds is an average... that's a wide range. Really depends how much muscle you are trying to put on.
