"Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." 1Cor. 10:31. I believe we are all called to a ministry in anything that we do. If bodybuilding can serve as a platform to reach people for Christ, just as with any sport, it is a ministry. Though it is very easy for one to get caught up in their own image, it is more important to care for the spiritual body first and foremost to see that avoided (See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. Colossians 2:8). I believe the more a Christian takes care and transforms their physical body, even more effort should be put toward working the spiritual body, as any Christian should whether bodybuilding or not. For those of us who are serious about this sport, let us not forget where our abilities and gifts come from and to thank God everyday for them.
I know that I give all my ability to lift to God first and foremost, and am just wondering who else out there are Christian's lifting for the glory of God?
Jesus is my Lord and my Pillar of strength. Thanks for starting the thread.

I have really enjoyed these posts! I am a Christian and continuously ask God for His strength and endurance to finish whatever sport I am doing at the time. I'm not a bodybuilder, but like to use the workouts because they are difficult and challenge me at the gym. God bless.
I am wondering if there are any lacrosse leagues in the lexington, cayce, west columbia, columbia, sc area that anyone knows of? I am wanting to start playing but cant find a league. Please let me know if u know of one
I went to church yesterday, and the sermon was about how we are to love others...if we don't love others, then how do we reflect Christ? It was more in depth than this, but got me to thinking about how we sometimes live more of the 'all about me' mantra, and that's not Christ-centered. Following Christ, isn't easy. But, at the end of the day, it is worth it...it will bring great joy, as we fill others' lives with joy.

So true! I think too that staying healthy shows we're good 'stewards' of what God's given to us.

Can't tell if this entire thread is full of epic trolls trolling trolls, or people are really this stupid.
Here is how I look at Life, Billian. If I spend my life living for and living by faith in my Lord and Savior and in the end find none of it was true, what do I lose? Nothing but time. However, if, as I believe, everything the Bible says is true and I live my life in the faith, I gain everything. Now, when you board an airplane do you bet your life that the pilot is going to crash the plane or do you trust that he will get you safely to the desitination? If you can put that much faith and trust in a big metal object and the man driving it, why is it considered "stupid" or "silly" to put your faith in the Creator of the Universe?
It is too easy to call something or someone a troll or stupid because they believe something you don't. Contact me and let's have a serious adult discussion of what you believe bothers you so much about this thread. If you are unwilling to do that, maybe you should just not read this thread and find one that is more to your liking.
