my first review in what must seem like ages....
so, after moving house i joined another gym, and after about 2 months of training back up to where i was, i was getting stupidly tired part way through the session, no mattter how long i rested or how much sleep i got. i thought it was time to supplement some creatine in.
A quick browse on no advertising and i decided on USN Creapure, 425g, as i had not used it before although i had heard good reviews.
Loading was easy, the powder is a little grainy if you mix it with the minimum amount of water they suggest, i try and aim for about a pint or water, and you therefore minimise waste because you leave none in the glass.
As for the change in my energy levels, tey really have gone through the roof.
Before my routine basically consisted of 12 sets, and even then it took me an hour and a half due to the continual wait for the resynthesis of ATP. bearing in mind I am workin at 8-10 rep ranges. Even then my last sets, which were bi's and tri's were never anywhere near maximal intensity. So much so that while i was going up a couple of kilos most weeks i nthe other exercises, the weights i used for my arms rarely went up at all.
So, I started my creatine cycle two weeks ago on monday.
Although i am looking for size, my strength has gone up 8 kilos on the incline bench press (i use dumbells) and work like a dog in the gym.
i have also put about half an inch on my arms in the same amount of time.
whereas before i was waiting 5 minutes between sets, i rarely wait more than half that now, and i can do anything up to 18 sets, as i did last friday, before i feel knackered.
this means that i spend less time in the gym, which, with all the sweaties in lycra.... has to be a god thing?
I've got another 2 weeks to keep this up, after that im going to drop off for another four weeks as is advised.
A quick review on no advertising......
I ordered on the friday at 3 pm, delivered saturday 10 am, total cost was 50 quid for 5 lb's of ON whey - cookies and Cream (see my other review).
The item was well packaged and very, very reasonably priced
My protein intake is really quite high, in excess of the 1.5 grams per kilos of mss, but, i drink enough water and am putting on very little fat.
My next supplement i think i need to bring in is controlled labs white blood.... But i think i shall try and find some more review first.
BTW, i am 14 stone 4 at about 14% fat.
