    Cool Having Sandwiches Bad?

Was wondering if it is ok to have sandwiches? Just honey wheat bread and turkey breast. Fat free cheese ok? Or just junk? Baked lays ok? Or just junk?
Then some fat free yogurt for afternoon snack.

I had posted a question or two about a cutting diet and cant seem to find it to see what the replies were.

I am still new here and learning to navigate around.

    Thanks...

If it fit's into your daily macros - it is fine. Me personally, I do not eat many sandwiches.

    Talking Macros?

    So, can anyone explain Macros?
I feel I have alot to learn.

    I love fat free yogurt.
I usually have Special K for breakfast.

Are fat free dressings for salads ok??
Was thinking of maybe incorporating salsa into salads to replace dressing?

    Thanks for everyones input.

    Macronutrients - protein, fat, carbs.

Sandwiches aren't always bad, but can be carb heavy due to the bread.

You have to look at each sandwich individually. Bread can vary in nutrition. Condiments can really change the overall nutrition a lot.

Baked Lay's - thumbs down. Try to stay away from chips as a side dish.

What is in your bread...A lot of wheat bread still contains High Fructose Corn Syrup. What kind of turkey meat? Is it highly processed? I find it difficult to find a whole grain bread with minimal ingredients...as well as a "real healthy" sandwich meat.

basically all i have eaten for the last month are sandwiches. every meal is toasted ezekiel buns or bread with either chicken, tuna, turkey, peanutbutter, egg, or roast beef. throw in some green veggies here and there and my macros come out perfectly. i dropped about 2% bf, and my scale weight has gone up. two thumbs up for sandwiches.

i love sandwiches, without them i probably would not get my meals in. Low-fat Mayo is awesome, just be sure to count your calories.

It depends on what kind of carb intake you are aiming for, as seeing the bread you get a very high amount of carbs from. If you aim for lower carbs, this isn't the best option.

since i started cutting, i've been using only one piece of bread for my sandwiches, and doubling up on the turkey. I also no longer eat chips because they are empty carbs. also i used to love yogurt and thought it was all healthy, but it has a lot of sugar and carbs so i said bye bye to that too. sounds like your are going to subway too much.
