    Question Protein for weight loss??

I've been lifting off and on for about 2 years and I am determined this time to stick with it. I'm 6'4 about 235lbs and I am attempting to lose weight and get cut while still maintaining some bulk. Would a protein supplement help me achieve my goal? Appreciate the feedback.

At the simplest level, protein foods contain nitrogen; carbs & fat dont. The ONLY way to increase/maintain muscles is to eat foods containing protein.

Food protein can turn to body fat, so can carbs & fat you eat.

So you can have a protein supplement, but make sure you keep withing your daily calorie limits.

    Yep

Yep try and get 1 Gram per pound but dont just get it from your protein shakes. When I used protein shakes I would try and drink 2 a day which really helped me in getting my daily intake of protein. Oh yes Cardio is essential to fat loss also, so you cannot rule out cardio.Read up on this forum about dieting but try and keep it 40/40/20 40% Protein, 40% Carbs, and 20% Fat! Good luck!
