Heaviest lift : deadlift or squat?

    Hello there,
I just wanted to know if I was right. I think the average lifter has, normally, a biggest DL than squat. I mean, you can use more poundage on the Dl than the squat, both with the classical variation, while keeping a perfect form. Personnaly, I deadlift a bit more than I squat.

I think for an average person you deallift 30% more than your squat, but I squat a lot more, (I think its cause of my scholiosis)

i think it goes in this order for the world records lifts, squat then bench then deadlift is the lightest, most people would think the world record bench would be lighter than the world record dead lift, but its not..., but i think on average its like squat then dead lift then bench lightest..

My DL is a heck of alot more than my bench, as well as my squat.

I just train for it hard and the weight I've been able to pull is just going up.

Yeah but the World Record in Bench is done with a shirt. Deadlifters have no such magic piece of equipment to add 300lbs

    Deadlift is bigger for me.

What is the shirted vs. Non-shirted Bench...I don't get the huge difference.

Powerlifters use benching shirts that allow them to lift more weight. A non-shirted bench is usually called a raw bench.

    dont be ignorant

one of the reasons that the deadlivt is lower than those two other lifts i belive is because of grip problems not lack of strenght anywhere else

i can imagine it being slightly difficult to hold on to 900+ lbs

I dont see the ignorance in my statement. Of course its hard grip wise, I'am just saying that without bench shirts the deadlift would be higher, obviously.

do a search on google. basically you will walk like a mummy with arms out in front and that resistance adds to your bench.

If you're not going to compete in powerlifting don't worry about it. Bench shirts aren't as magical as everyone makes them seem. If you have no idea what you're doing the shirt will probably hurt your bench and you'll end up injured without a good spotter.
