Am *I* Old Fashioned??
I just found out what MILF means.
(Sorry to steal your thread title cgc, but I couldn't bring myself to say that in the title)
I have run across it a few times recently, so I googled it today.
I can understand the boys talking amongst themselves, but is this acceptable in everyday society?
Mothers are really wearing this on T-shirts?
Isn't the F word a bad word anymore?

I guess as long as it isn't spelled out people find it ok. It do find it odd that women wear it on a shirt or brag about being called it.

The Moro Islamic Liberation Front? Not sure why anyone would wear that on their t-shirt unless you wanted to catch a bullet from the Philipine government...

the only women wearing this t-shirt are either recently divorced or are so insecure, their very identity as a woman is compromised.
I like the term MILF. however, the term only applies to women who are truly fitting of the persona.
young girls are fun. sometimes.
older women know what they want, how they want and when they want. I have happily filled all of those needs over the course of my single years.
still........................ the over 35 set rules!

As funny as I think the term is and was the first time I heard it in "American Pie"...it baffles me that women would want to be considered this. Might as well walk around with a shirt saying "whore". The XXX rated things that guys will talk & joke about don't shock me at all- that starts when you're about 9 years old and never lets up!
But the mainstreaming of the 'porno-popculture' thing is disturbing, the girls acting and dressing slutty as a matter of course & it's glorified in virtually every hip-hop video of the last 15 years. MTV &VH1 have Bio-shows on porno stars.
Even MSNBC endless "To Catch A predator" series,,, they probably argue that it's serving a purpose- but to me it's just solacious, bottom of the barrel entertainment.

I do think it was hilarious that a woman on The Apprentice thought that MILF stood for "A Mom I'd Like To Be Friends With". Um, no.
Yeah, I think it would be really tacky to wear that on a t-shirt.
