No one was talking about performing 1rm whilst doing these exercises. Yes we were talking about overall power (somehow).... but that can be trained doing multiple reps. If you disagree, then there would be no one doing 6-10 rep sets at all.
you made a definitive statement about swiss ball training and bench presses...
If you read the prevalent literature about swiss ball traininig, you will see that power output is DECREASED for the main movement. You CAN'T train the movement as hard. It is a specific adaptation.
If you have any evidence now would be a good time to show it (re: bench presses/db presses on a swiss ball).
