After this football season I just had bankart repair shoulder surgery for a recurring dislocating shoulder on my left side. I dislocated/subluxed it 11 times in a 3 month period, so I had the surgery done because even with rehab I was unable to lift weights without it feeling unstable.
I was just curious if anyone else has had this done. I am 3 weeks post opperation. I have done a lot of research on this issue, but I was looking for real world, first hand personal accounts of how this surgery has worked out for you or for someone you know. As for surgeries it is one of the more common ones. If anyone else has this same problem but hasnt done the surgery PM me and I will let you know how it works out to see if it is worth it. So far it seems better, but I am not able to do any kind of free weight for a couple months, only rehab for now.
