    Lightbulb Pixie Stix after a workout??

    I was talking to a buddy of mine a few days ago about supplements and he tells me that after lifting and right before taking his post-workout protein shake, he'll down 4-5 pixie sticks (pure dextrose I think) to up his insulin levels Apparently, it helps aids absorption of the protein and carbs from the shake...

    Any thoughts??

    i think your friend could find a better way to get dextrose or a creatine transport that from pixie stix.
