Use as little water as possible. Use only ice-cold water. And shake it up really well for 30 seconds or so. That will thicken it up at least, which makes it taste better imo.

Fruit + oats works wonder in protein shakes. I eat one of those everyday. It's one of my favorite meals of the day. I look forward to it each day more than I do wolfing down yet another can of tuna or chicken.

Yup as the previous replies said, use less water to make it thicker and add peanut butter (specially if it's vanilla flavour!). Makes it tastes supernice and minimal carbs (take it you're either on a low-carb or carb cycle diet?)

It's debatable, people have had success at below 100, I have had personally great results in the sub 30 grams a day range. See what works for you.

People have had success on much higher numbers as well. I'm successfully cutting on 40-40-20 right now, which works out to 250g/day for me. I was at 50-30-20 for a while (which was over 300g of carbs) and that worked as well.

My fav. protein drink is: egg beaters (Pasteurized egg whites), chocolate whey, Splenda, cold filtered water & ice cubes, blended in a food processor. Then again, I have a lot of food allergies, milk being one of them, so I was never accustomed to drinking milk to develop a preference for it (such as in a protein drink). I drink filtered water religiously..

Strawberry protein powder, 2 packets of equal, 1/2 cup frozen strawberries. It gets real thick and creamy.

You can also try a partial packet of sugar free pudding, adds thickness and taste.
