Hello from an Old Guy
Hey Ya'll,
Sorry I've been offline for so long. Just wanted to stop in and say hello to everyone, and play a quick game of catch up. Life's been coming at me pretty hard and fast for the last several months gearing up for my next deployment.
Look for me to try and check in more regularly in a couple of weeks, once I get me feet in the sand.
Still working out hard 5 days a week. I was weighing in around 220 with about 11% BF before the holidays. Now I'm sitting around 215 and closer to 14-15%. Workouts been going really well, and I'm looking forward to meeting the challenges of working out in my new living arrangements for the next 8 months.
I hope everyone had a great christmas and a good new years, and ready to hit the benchmarks you've set for the upcoming year.
I'll check in again soon, hopefully before I deploy.
Kieth

Great to have a couple of minutes of peace and quiet when I can post again. I'll be safe, I've got a great team and we're trained and ready to go.

Thanks Someday, although "sound" is a relative term and open to debate.

It'll be 20 years in uniform for me at the end of this month! God only knows what I'll do when I have to be a civilian. I heard...they make you put a piece of paper into a clock to see what time you arrived and left from work. That's just crazy talk!

Glad to have a few minutes to check in again myself. Missed ya'll more than you know. It's been a hectic last six months. I'm actually looking forward to the deployment so I can relax and enjoy my coffee.

Always do. I'll watch the others...they watch mine. Mostly I think just to see what I'll do next.

Good to meet you and hope all goes safely in the box... Stay in touch when you can as many of us want to know all is fine with ya. I have other on line friends serving over there and always send good thoughts to the Big Guy upstairs, you included!
I have seen some pics of some workout equipment, so keeping toned shouldn't be an issue! Looks better than my gym!

Good to meet you too. I've seen the firebase I'll be staying at and there's a pretty good gym right there for us to use 24/7. I'll send pics when I can.

Hey Fitty!!!! Nice to see you too. Would love to swap fishing stories, but I haven't had time to do much in the last six months, and no fish worth bragging about.

I gave Uncle Sam 23 years, so trust me, there is life after the military. And it is a good one!

1st, be safe out there. As Hunter says, there is life after the military. After 22yrs myself, there was a culture shock factor for a while, but the big picture clears after a while.

Thanks guys for your service. It's nice to see the vets still going strong. I know there's life afterwards...but I also know it's going to be a serious culture shock for me.

I couldn't think of any better. This way I can slowly be brought out to society without too many of my army-isms showing up. LOL

1stin - I've been wearing my Air Force blues now for about 21 years and never had the opportunity to deploy. As your sister in the profession of arms, I just want to say I respect the hell out of you and am so appreciative of what you do for your country. I sleep soundly at night.
Take care brother
