Puchasing a squat/power rack

Hello, I currently have a bench to do bench press on but I need a squat rack. I was looking to purchase the following..

Now, the dilemma is that I am not sure if I should purchase that or spend an $150 to buy this power rack..

or even the Powertec but it shows to be out of stock.

Is a power rack worth the extra money? I know that the power rack will offer me more variety and safety but it is double the price. I'm going to order it online because I can't seem to find a store nearby with these products.

For 300 you can get a nice setup off of Craig's list including bench and weights. I think the full cage is better for safety reasons and I guarantee you the day will come if you're working out alone you'll wish you had one. There are half cages that are safe also. I didn't see any place to set the bar if you can't get it back up on the first one.

Thanks for the reply. I definitely see your point with safety reasons. I think I am leaning towards the power rack now.

I'd gotten myself in trouble a bunch of times when I used a regular bench. I remember having 185, very heavy to me, on me and not being able to budge it anymore. Then I thought that I'm not getting any stronger laying here so I better do something now. This happened many times but that one day sticks in my head because it scared the hell out of me.

I wouldn't consider anything without a place for the weight if you can't put it back, just like I needed to do earlier. Much better than dumping it to one side on the floor and safer too.Keep your eyes peeled on Craig's list and you'll find what you need at an excellent price, 75% off is possible. Either way I wouldn't pay over half of retail for anything.
