Critique my diet please!!

Hi Everyone, thanks for reading this post.

I was wondering if I could get a little input on my diet.....some of you may have read my earlier posts about ed recoverys, so keep that in mind as I ramble on for a few minutes here....

I am 5'8, about 150....which sounds like a great weight, but I am somewhat 'skinny fat'. I need to replace 10lbs of body weight with 10lbs of lean muscle. Here is what my 'typical diet' looks like....not trying to lose weight, btw:

6:30am - 3 eggs with 1/4 c. fat free feta/onions/peppers, 2/3 cup oats. 460cals

9:30-10am 1 cup kashi go lean, 1 sf/ff yogurt - 230 cals

12:30-1: 1 turkey or tuna sandwich on light wheat bread w/veggies and mustard, light string cheese, apple, carrot/celery sticks 500 cals

3:30-4 (pre-workout)
1 cup cottage cheese w/fruit (200-250 cals)

7pm dinner/post workout:
Chicken breast or salmon (6 oz)
veggies (usually green beans/zucchini)
small salad (400 cal)

9m: 1 apple w/ 1 tbsp pb (200)

Approx 2000 cals

Plus I sometimes munch on sunflower seeds....approx 150 cals/day.

Does this sound 'normal'? I know it's not a hardcore bb's diet, but does it seem like a clean/good start? Any suggesions?

Thumbs up Good job!

You look like you are doing really well with a balanced diet. To gain muscle though takes a little bit more. I would try to add a protein shake and some simple carbs after your workout to help keep the muscle you have and recover the muscle you are trying to build. Find something you can get ride of during your day to make up the calories elsewhere. Also, one of the most important things for people trying to gain muscle is to change your workout frequently, make sure you are challenging yourself to lift heavier weights and to do Supersets, drop sets anything that pushes the muscle past that level of failure. Good luck to you! You are on the right track!
