I say yes to gloves . . . my girlfriend hated all the calluses, sores, and blisters that I developed on my hands and fingers as a result of going bare (plus I wasn't too big on them either). I changed to gloves and now she doesn't bitch ;-)

I have been using New Grips for the past several years.
I have found them much better than gloves and are very flexible with regards to training and no calluses.

my girlfried used to bitch about the same rough hands sh*t so i tried the gloves ( actually bought a good pair ) and it totally screwed up my workout, guess they were too padded or something, so i don't use them anymore but i did by a pumice stone from CVS and use it to grind away calluses after shower. that seems to work well now.

i didnt used to wear gloves. but my hands got so thick i would pick at he rock chuncks not thinking about it and befor i would know it i would be bleeding all over the place. Plus when i have really good workouts i get so sweaty i lose my grip from the sweat. now i always wear gloves. Keeps better grip for pulling exercises and my hands stay flat somewhat...

Used to wear gloves.
The last month I have ditched them
I tried rack pulls last night with gloves, thought it would make for an easier lift - WRONG. I soon threw them to the side in disgust!!
Now they only hurt if I wear them!!My PowerLifting journal!

I have to wear gloves because my hands sweat a lot and without them the bar just gets too slippery. So until my gym starts allowing chalk, I'm going to keep using them..
Fukit though, whats the big deal?"Do you think SHE actually felt like that was a sexual thing he was doing? She's like 6. Only an actual p3do would think that she thought he was groping her, too."
"Not that it's impossible to touch a minor inappropriately, but it is true that a 6 year old girl will not recognize someone putting a hand on their chest as groping, whether it is inappropriate or not."
