Bra too tight on the back.

Does anyone else have this problem. My bra is now too tight on the back,due to my lats getting a bit wider,and it doesn't look good. I cant go up a bra size because then the cup will be too big. I bought bra extenders and they seem to work. Just wondering if it happened to anybody else and what you did about it.

You should be able to go up in circumference size, but leave the cup size the same (go from a 34B to a 36B, for example), that's basically what the bra extender is doing for you.

I've noticed this as well, but not so much it being too tight, but that it cuts into my skin right on top of the lats, creating almost a role of skin that I didn't have before. All this while my BF % has decreased.

I have so many bra sizes in my drawers it's stupid. What I wore before a food issue made me lose weight, what I had to wear when I was at my lowest weight, and what I wear now. And YES! The darn things are starting to get tight around my back. Guess it's a good thing I didn't throw the old ones out.

Unfortunately it's not true that cup sizes are the same from one circumference size to the next. A 34A cup is smaller than a 36A cup. Not a huge difference, but it is real. I'm in a 34A right now but my old 36A's are, well more unfilled. I'm just going to make do until I get to some stable size. Then look only at bras with pushup pads. The "girls" are freaking infants.

When you go up in circumference, you are supposed to go down a cup size.

EG. 30 C, 32 B, 34 A, 36 AA all have the same cup size.

I thought about that after I was corrected and realized that makes sense because the difference between the measurement around your rib cage and the measurement across your chest would not be as great. Thanks for the correction!

I'd recommend trying on bras in a larger band size and a smaller cup size. Also try other brands than usual, as different brands seem to be constructed differently.

I've just started wearing sports bras all the time because of that problem; they're more elastic and stretch a bit so don't leave you feeling as "pinched" as normal bras do. But I'd say what's worse than bras becoming too tight from your lats growing is the fact that your lingerie doesn't fit anymore, either--that's an awful lot more expensive a loss, generally speaking. My hubby and I were sad to realize recently that I can't fit into a couple of my "bedroom outfits" anymore because my lats have grown so much larger... and I'm not giving up the lats, so all that stuff will just have to be money down the drain!!

Did you try any of the bras with padding or pushups or different brands? I used to love Victoria's Secret. Now I go to JC Penney and take all different brands into the dressing room. VS just isn't good anymore for my fit.

I have a harder time with bras than I do jeans.

There are some company's that make half sizes for in the middle.You might have some luck with that. Like if I buy a 32 a it's to tight but if I buy 34a the cup is a little to big so I buy a what's called a 34 nearly A and it fits better.

I believe that brand is Playtex (although I've never bought these bras).

On a second note, has anyone considered/tried the Champion everyday line? They make AMAZING sports bras, and this makes me think that their regular line would also cater well to athletic women. However, their website doesn't ship to Canada, and I've never seen this line in stores here, so I've never tried it.

Yep, Playtex is at least one. We have some of those. That's why I go to Penney's. They have so many brands I'm bound to find something that works. I'm just sick of spending money on a bunch of bras!

I mostly wear sports bras cause it's so hard for me to a find a fit. Don't laugh but I also sometimes go to the jrs department to buy my bras. It's not like I need alot of support.

I'm jus trying out a company I heard of to buy bras.... aalingerie.com (or .co.uk.... can't remember which)... but they do up to 40AAA... I'm looking for a 38AA... comical I know... not big, but big enough to need support... especially as I'm getting a little older.... only good thing about being small is that I will be passing the pencil test for many years to come.....

I am having a problem finding bras since I have had my breast augmentation surgery done.

The ones I find fit in the cup, but not the band. What are some custom bra places I can go??
