I'm in the same path as you are, I have a lot of fat on my ass, I don't have broad shoulders, I still pack a considerable amount of fat even at 12% (trying to get shredded and ripped in relaxed state).

04-14-2006 HOLY SLEEP BATMAN !!!

As expected, my body was SHOT after yesterdays "additional" workout. After working a 12 hour shift I almost couldn't function, and I slept like a rock !! Woke up feeling rested and some nice muscle fullness.

I feel that there is hope for my upper chest thanks to ddawg... that's it for now.

Tonight:

Bands (active recovery)
Gripwork
Pushups to stay awake and for volumization

I'll be curious to see how this turns out. I've read up a lot on the guy and it seems like he is definitely of the powerlifter mentality that food is the best supplement. Although, that might have changed since his fat days.

Legs FELT great, and even after a 12 hour shift I was FEELing ready to hit them hard. By the time I was done stretching.. I simply wanted to leave the gym.... but I didn't... basically nothing worth noting today.. even my appetite was down... made spaghetti and almost puked when force feeding

Started off with calves because the gym was so ****ing crowded..

A few revelations hit me today:

1) My delts just plain suck, despite some crazy vascularity / veins

2) My lats suck and it's ****ing depressing

3) Active recovery is the key to my recent upper body strength gains.. I wasn't sure but I am now

4) Lack of active recovery / lack of biking is why my lower body strength is suffering dramatically.

5) "Certain members" of this forum are absolutely PA-THE-TIC and don't even have a place in the bodybuilding community... so **** them and **** the haters. I'm so ****ing sick of hearing mother****ers whining and crying about how Controlled Labs is going to take over the world and how creatine shouldn't be in a pill yadda yadda... I've never heard so much pathetic whining and crying in my life. When I joined this forum, it was full of bodybuilders... now it's full of 170lb rep-whores who won't post photos because they KNOW they will get clowned on and make "company xyz" look bad. The forum is now full of gang mentality, bandwagon effect, sell-outs, and rep-wars... and it makes me ****ing sick. With a SELECT FEW exceptions, a "board rep" gets chosen and instantly does a 180 and starts pimping product XYZ. Well the VETERAN members of this forum know that I was already recommending Controlled Labs products from the very beginning.. LONG before I was affiliated, making it a MUCH more "natural" transition.

I'm also one of the SELECT few "affiliated" members that EVER recommends ANY other products besides their "own" and I never claim that Controlled Labs products are "magic" and I rarely put down another companies product unlike the majority.

That is the rant for today... MUCH more to come.. and THE GLOVES ARE OFF !!!

Chest / Delts / Traps / Light / PAIN

Neck / Shoulder pain... **** !!!!

One of the ****tiest workouts in a LONG time... and I guess the irony is that when I woke up and looked in the mirror I really liked the vascularity and overall progress.

So basically strength was just **** today so I went light. I'll be switching things up here soon.

Tonight is bandwork / bodyweight / gripwork / stuffing my face / stretching

I'll probably call the chiropractor tomorrow

Ah. I do bodyweight squats and goodmornings on off-days, in the hope that it somehow lets me recover faster/better.

Look after that shoulder, big guy. Injuries suck.
