Hey all, I'm a newcomer to the community here. Today I reached my new max bench lift (raw) at 250lbs. I weigh around 144lbs, and am 16. I was curious if there were any national max bench press records in Canada, or even America for teenager weightlifters? If there are, I would really like to know the current records to see if I can work towards one in the future, before changing a weight class, or going into a different age division. Thanks, I hope to post pictures in the near future.

There are big kids, but lets just say some of them use the ole "needle" so I have heard at my school. A kid went from being 6'3 160 to 6'5 being 295 and benching 400 and squating 540, and incling 340. This occured over a 11/2 yrs.
Weight: 205, Ht: 5'6
Bench Press: 430
Squat: 475
Deadlift: 450
Test is BEST!!

Sorry guys, I guess it is a bit hard to believe. I've been weight training since I was 14, and my dad was my personal trainer for the first year. If you want, I can get this on video, but if I do, I won't keep it uploaded for long, I don't like being on the web that much. And farzamk, yea I agree, it is true, I find I am the one of the only ones in my school capable of this, especially for my size. Again I'll look into doing a video, or at-least a photo. Though, as I was saying, would anyone know any specific competitions?

Id argue that, my school has 500people, and I can outbench any football player MOST by a good amount, im in the high 2's.. Our team is ****, thats why we suck.
LOL @ the guy said 220lbs for a 300 pound bench.. I'm 185 and im puttin up 260 in reps, far cry from 220..
EDIT: Lul at you all thinking 50-150 is lowering what they can do. I honestly, besides the football team, dont know anybody that can hit more than 135.. Nobody is interested in lifting at my school.
