How busy are your gyms?
Yes I said "gyms" since some people visit more than one. It ha been a little over a week since New Years and let us know how packed (or surprisingly normal) as compared to before. I go to 2 different 24hr Fitnesses and damn, its hard to find a machine or free-weight station. I hope it dies out like tomorrow.

argh.. packed man. the free weights was normal for 5-6pm after everyone gets out of work, but the cardio machines were taken up, i saw people waiting for them even, and there's around 40-50 machines that were being used... upstairs the weight machines were quite busy too, but glad i trained 80% of the time in the free weights where the regulars were.
a lot of hot 16-18 year old girls though (yes legal for me), but some of them were just loudmouth sluts who were ****ing around with their friends taking up space.

Free weight/weight machine section has about the same traffic. It's the cardio section that has really picked up. Mainly, fat females aspiring to be skinny-fat.

From 6 am to 4pm theres maybe 12 people tops. Sometime I've seen as few as 3 people (including myself) in the entire gym. Then from 4-8 its packed, then empties again.

yeah I thought I was in the clear on sunday morning, it had a few more but nothing bad.. well monday night I had to park like 6 miles away.. it was out of freaking control, the line just to get your card scanned was out the door and into the freaking street. Luckily for me most the people were hovering around the cardio equipment.
It was mostly ex-high school girls that have been drinking and partying and can't rely on their young metabolism anymore... it's pretty funny though, but I'm sure at least 60% will be gone by feburary.
*EDIT*
OH and I haven't even tried the secondary 24hour I go to, it's an even smaller gym so that I'm sure is going to be out of hand, it was packed before the 1st of the year.

This is what I don't understand. Many people, mostly females, just come to the gym to do cardio. Yet, you will see them circling the parking lot looking for a close spot to the gym. Too lazy to walk when they have come to do cardio. Then they wonder why they are fat.

I hear ya. They should make all gym parking spots at least 100 yards from the entrance.

Jammed up with fat people, and to make it worse fat people who don't wipe the sweat of the equipment. The bench press was soaked with sweat after this fat kid just walked off and left it. I nearly puked having to wipe his fat smelly arse sweat off it.

Nobody in the gym I go to when I'm home, my parents save up guest passes they hand out for me to use and go with them when I'm home. mom or dad will go do an exercise class usually while I go to the weight room.
At school its PACKED. they are building on to our rec at this moment, it is much needed. If you go to the rec anytime between 5 and 9, you WILL be waiting for a bench, and you WILL be waiting for free weights.
Just to give you an idea, there are 2 bench press benches in our rec, for the whole university! free weight area is a joke too.. can't wait for the add on

I notice my gym is the busiest when I workout from 5:00 AM (Opening time) to around 6:30 AM. Generally, it's busiest in the mornings.
Late at night (9:00PM +), it's dead just the way I like it.

I swear to god I was finishing up my session last night on the cardio machine and these 2 guys were just standing behind me like douches thinking all the sweating im doing is going to tire me out and I'll stop.. showed those ****ers but regardless big wtf on vulchers.

I go to Lifetime FItness. There are way to many yuppies that decided to have there new years resolution at the gym. Lose more weight and get more fit nd what not. Its so irritating because most of these people dont know proper gym manners. Every machine that actually creates results are taken. Last night I did chest and dam I was so lucky to get a bench. A lady friend was holding it for me.
I saw some wandering eyes looking at me. I know about 90% of the people that got to my gym. I'm there 5-6 days a week. The people that were looking at mew were New Bs. I was waiting for one of them to say something, but they didnt. THey walked away and I proceeded to lift.

You have to remember, the vast majority of people consider "working out" limited to hopping on a treadmill or stairmaster. Cardio equipment is always in highest demand. Very few people who go to gyms actually lift weights, sadly.

yeah the whole thing just bothers me.. they leave weights on what they were doing last.. They curl in the ****ing squat rack. They do too much weight because they try to show off and let ego get in the way .. I mean its ****ing stupid..
Some dude asked me to spot him on his first set of doing 280lbs decline for 2 ****ing reps.. After I used it. and him walking all around me while I'm working with the weights. Either he was trying to show off or is being stupid.
I hate when people ask me if they can work in with me between my ****ing lifts. can't they wait till Im done at least not ask me in the middle of my lift. ask such a stupid question. Normally I don't mind but i hate nye time.
Then You got those people on the cardio machines, the woman who read magazines and books about health and they're so skinny to begin with but sweating balls.. Taking breaks then getting back on the machine.. all that poor muscle loss.
I can't even start to explain the line for Abs Machine and Bicep curls..

This is the worst time of year to be in the gym as you have all the new years resolution types taking up space and doing a whole lot of nothing in the gym besides wasting serious ppl's time. I relish when they go back to their fast food and refined sugars in a week or two so I don't have to watch people use rubber resistance tubing and swiss balls in the squat rack.

These 2 women today must of done 10 minutes on the cross trainer tops, they then proceed to buy a mars bar from the vending machine and sit down and spend 10 minutes eating it.
That was the end of their cardio they just spent the next 30 minutes writhing around on the floor attempting to do ab exrecises. Like thats gonna shift 220lbs of flab
