About to go buy 125kg worth of rubber coated olympic plates that look like this:
along with an olympic barbell. I have an adjustable bench already and a squat stand. I currently have no space to put the equipment except on my front veranda and I don't have any rubber mats yet. Thoughts?Get outdoors more

I like the minimalist approach: a few high quality pieces of gym equipment that allow you to do just about everything you need. Some home gyms look like a tornado smashed into a fitness warehouse and then dumped the contents into the basement. Nothing wrong with that, but I'm not a fan of clutter.

Been a while since I posted to this forum... I forgot about the 50 post limitation...that's kind of weird. Anywho, here's my contribution. I'm just getting starting with building my gym and just purchased my first item.
Got the set, dumbbells/rack, on craigslist. The 3D view is what I hope my gym will look like in the next few months
