Thanks to the info from these forums I started my home gym out the right way and didn't waste any money on junk equipment. I'm amazed at how many exercises I can do with the power rack, bench, and olympic weight set. Just added the IM dumbbells so i'm pretty content- at least for a couple weeks

Yeah it's nice for incorporating cardio activities like jump roping and burpees into my weight lifting routine. I'm going to try to keep it open and not cramped.

I have about the same amount of space, but I have a rack, two benches, elliptical, seated calf machine, lat/low row machine, roman chair, preacher curl station, four plate trees, and a few other trinkets that make the space seem much smaller than it really is. I love having the equipment, but I miss the free space.

I just sold a set of Ironmaster dumbells to help finance this setup.

480# plates, straight bar, trap bar, 3/4 inch mats all from craigslist. I ended up refinishing the plates after reading about it on the forum. The hammered enamel looks great.

I got the bench and power rack (valor bd-11 hard power rack) from Amazon. I had to put the pullup bar upside down because of the short ceiling, but I am only 6 foot so it doesn't affect me at all. I also have a 55# ketllebell and a terrible freestanding bag.

Any suggestions on my next purchases? I was thinking bands/chains, battling rope, plate holder attachment, hanging ab straps, and a box for box squatting. Any suggestions are much appreciated!

I'd like to trade some of my equipment for some of your space. Reps on your equipment.

Just regular athletic tape. Its a used bar and the knurling was really worn down. Same with the trap bar.

Probably around 9 grand? A lot of us chipped in to make it nice looks a bit crowded but not really a problem as long as not more than 3 people workout

What's the size of the holes in the uprights of rogue racks? 1" or 3/4"? I'm trying to see for compatability of add-ons.

    My Modest Workout Area

Couple of shots of my Multi-Press Rack, I use this for my squats, bench press, and my OHP lift off. The Rack and FID Bench are Tuff Stuff both very sturdy, and the Bar is Cheapo that I got from CL with my first set of plates which is a mix of CAP and Body Solid Branded Weights. (Not shown, and likely to be sold off in the not too distant future) Considering getting a Rogue Power Bar next.

Couple of cheapo bars, will upgrade as needed and one of pairs of lockjaws and some ancient vinyl coated db's

What makes my Weight Room a Weight Room and my most recent purchase 570# of York Rubbber Coated G2 Plates... Love that the 25's are the same diameter as the 45's like bumper plates

And the Dumbbell rack full of CL purchased Hexes 10's through 50's, If I need 5's for some odd reason I can use the old vinyl ones over on the floor.

I eventually aspire to put in a full sized power rack to replace the multi-press and as mentioned above a better bar.
