Just added 80 Lb dumbbells to my garage gym. I bought VTX at play it again sports and unfortunately they charge 59 cents a pound plus 8 percent tax so it ended up costing about 102 dollars. Cheaper than brand new but could have gotten a pair for 50 cents a lb with no tax if they would have ever showed up on craigslist. Hopefully I can find 90's and 100's soon on craigslist.

My home gym. Recently added new solid steel dumbbells. The racks need to be modified, but I will do that later. I try to mix the old with the new.

Hi medpilot,
I really like it, it's very smooth, much much smoother than the plate loaded cheap model that I had before.
For lat use you can get a really good stretch.
I'm 5 foot then and at full stretch the bar is about 4 inches away do I imagine anyone upto 6'3" or so would get a good stretch and full ROM.

RockCrshr, you've got a pretty decent gym there.
How high are your ceilings? They seem to give your area a much larger feel.[̲̅$̲̅(̲̅ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°̲̅)̲̅$̲̅] Equipment Crew #57 [̲̅$̲̅(̲̅ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°̲̅)̲̅$̲̅]

Thanks guys. It is just for home use. 99 percent of everything in the gym is used, that I got from Ebay, Craigslist, or auctions. Like most other guys with alot space and equipment I paid for most of it flipping equipment and putting in the time selling. I think I am going to sell the bigger BodyMasters unit to make space for a couple Hammer Strength machines.

This is my home gym. Home built benchpress and bars. Great set up, love training at home. this summer going to build a squat rack, using the same beam design.

the thing next to the leg press is a sissy squat. works pretty well :-D. works the quads and my glute floor pad works the hamstrings really well. great bodyweight stuff to go along with the leg curl extension bench !
the sauna room upstairs only has the sauna, rower machine, back inversion thing, small stepper machine, and precor stretch trainer. instead of the treadmill i will just go run, and ride my bike instead of my recumbent.Last edited by matrix563; 02-17-2013 at 11:46 PM.
