Well after spending hours measure every possible inch of space I can gain and every possible layout I've figure out a way to fit a reverse hyper in my gym so I ordered one up through edge fitness hopefully this will finally give my back pain and issues some relief! It should be here in about two weeks and then I get the fun of moving every piece of equipment in my gym.

Sweet. Until mine came along I was pondering how to make my Rogue into a tilt-top.

Just remember to work it for reps and start decently light. Also don't over extend at the top...with the weight momentum you can hyper extend under force and do damage. Better to target 90% range of motion on the way up than target 100% and hit 101%.

The Reverse Hyper is the one thing I wish I had in my gym. I would consider moving the treadmill out of the gym to fit one in there.

I may end up moving my 45 degree hyper to a different place or I may have to possible sacrifice being able to do low rows on my legend lat pull down but if this fixes my back issues I can live with either of those.

i can't even tell you how many times i have gone through this! Moving every single piece of equipment to fit one more in my room. Now, i can't even figure a way to move my equipment to fit one more piece. I am out of space now which is sad for me but makes my wife happy. Congrats on the reverse hyper, i have one in my rack and i love it! I don't use it every day but it is a great add on to a home gym! Post pics of it when you are done with your new layout.

2 questions:
why did you choose vertical wall storage for your bars vs horizontal and do you find that the plates on the bar hit the plates on storage under the safeties when you bench press?

maybe the angle of the photo is messing me up, i guess with mono-hooks on there the bar would be forward enough to avoid them...

Yes there is, it use to be one of the spare bedrooms before it turned into a gym. The closest is empty though so its fine having the door blocked off like it is now.

The reason for vertical wall storage was I didn't have any walls with enough room for horizontal storage and still be able to easily get to them that's why I ended up doing the rack mounted gun rack and I plan to add another vertical storage for my db15 handles and curl bar.

The plates being stored there do not get in the way at all. I put the the safety were I set them for bench and could set the bar on them with a 45lb plate and nothing hit.

I ask because someone here actually got a functional trainer in the closet after taking the doors off..

Its only a single door so probably the only way that would have been possible for me is if I took the wall down and I know the wife won't go for that because eventually this room will be a bedroom for one of the babies.

The old way it was laid out that was more possible with the way it is now I can't to easily get in and out of there plus I really don't have anything in the gym that I don't use for something almost every workout.

Its only a single door so probably the only way that would have been possible for me is if I took the wall down and I know the wife won't go for that because eventually this room will be a bedroom for one of the babies.

definitely keep the wall up AND the door on...you'll need a place to keep the baby away from your gym stuff...

Also, definitely get the hyper coated in purple. With the pad, and i'm assuming handle grips, in black it will look really nice. May even look nice if the swingy arm thingy (sorry to get technical) was also black.

I thought about doing this with the rogue reverse hyper i just bought from craigslist, but thought it might hurt the resale when I find a better one. If i get a tilt top that **** is definitely purple/black

I'm having the frame of it coated purple and he's doing the handles and swing arm and weight storage pegs in black with a black pad. I think its going to look really good. It goes to powder coat on Thursdays!

After one workout I realised that layout wasn't going to work so I moved my rack again tonight.

This seems to be the best placement for everything and leaves a plenty big enough space for the reverse hyper but I lost my on rack gun rack but ill find somewhere to hang it up.

I have a foot of room on each side on the barbell to load it and ill have more once my mech monolifts get here. I have to be careful but there is enough room to load and unload it.

Yes, it is just paint with two coats of top coat. It didn't hold up very well in the high traffic areas.
