They're the 3' x 5' mirrors...$59 each, I got them at Home Depot or Lowe's and can't for the life of me remember now (They're right next door to each other in my town and I priced them at both stores). Getting them home I was a nervous wreck too.
We had originally wanted to get 6 footers but I decided we really only needed 5 footers and installed a home made 12" baseboard to get them up off the floor and be tall enough.\
You got me to thinking, I went and looked it up... I did get them at Home Depot, Here's the Link

After a lot of research and help from the community on here I'm finally set up with a decent first gym.
imgur.com/QT83V
I went with a Body Solid GPR378 rack from FitnessFactory for $400. I found a Body Solid WFID70 bench with preacher curl attachment and Olympic weight set (minus 1 - 10lb weight) for $200 on Craigslist. Since I had the preacher curl I figured I might as well purchase a leg extension for it as well. The leg extension for the GFID71 fits the WFID70 too, also purchased from FitnessFactory for $68. I didn't realize it is only for standard plates unless you purchase an Olympic adapter. I think I'm going to buy some PVC pipe, fill it up with spray foam and then slide it over the standard holder. It's all set up in a finished basement so I put down plywood and then went to a local farm supply store and bought two 4' X 6' horse stall mats ($33/each). There's no rubber smell coming from them and they feel great.
I'm 5'11" and 140lbs so I'm trying to bulk up. I started the Starting Strength program and the set up is working out very well for me so far. I was wondering if anyone knows of some kind of attachment I could hook around the pull up bar on my rack so I could have a lower bar to do full pull ups on? I thought I saw something like that before on here, but I can't seem to find it now. Currently I can barely put my head over the bar on the rack before I hit the ceiling.

Ha, thanks! For some reason Im a big fan of when Body Solid made everything in white and black. Everything I have was either free or really cheap from CL. Just bought and sold so much I had an extra 300 sitting around and pulled the trigger on the EXM, even had someone deliver it to my house. Pretty nice with the leg press attachment included.
Now Im looking for that CL post that has a lot of dumbbells and a rack...and some decent plates. #wishful thinking

New to this section and have seen some great threads like this one showing off some great equipment and setups. Here's my basement training area (cramped at about 10'x12' but it does it's job)
Rattling off some stuff from the top of my head:
EFS box and rack
Jesup 1500# power bar
Some Bow Bar
EFS SS Yoke bar (original)
PowerTech fully adjustable 45 degree to roman chair
body solid plates and bench
Bunch of bands and some chains along with Walmart special heavy duty tow strap
Homemade rackable and adjustable Reverse Hyper
Couple DBs and attachment accessory stuff
Manta Ray and a Zercher/Front squat harness
On the way from Edge Fitness Systems hopefully by the end of this month custom GHR, custom A-Frame Reverse Hyper, Swiss bar, Cambered squat bar, and landmine package.
Edit: noticed it's supposed to be all pictures so took the video out and uploaded some old pictures of when the area was just getting setup.Last edited by Jason2459; 01-21-2013 at 10:04 AM.

redid my gym a little bit. sold the hack squat leg press to save some space. i got a vertical old school leg press that takes up about 1/3 the space.
when i finish my sauna cardio room setup i'll post some new pics (gonna store the recumbent and ride my bike, sold the treadmill (will jog outside), and sold the stepper/air climber. i have a smaller stepper and i prefer just the stepper movement. still going to use my precor stretch trainer, back revolution inversion table, and rower machine.

Ok time to do this. My "gym" isn't that big and it is pretty odd combination of equipment.
First up is my dip, rope, pull-up bar station..the pull-up bar has 4 height settings and a rotating bar..really works the grip, and these are impossible to get from anywhere as it is probably some kind of prototype. It has ensured that I never run out of finger power on regular pull-up bars, cons are that it makes any one arm pull-up even harder as all that rotation hits the grip on the arm.
Second up is the dumbbells, main attraction being here the 38KG Inch dumbbell replica (gladiatorpower version) this dumbbell is a beast and pet project of mine, works well together with my pull-up bar. The other weights aren't really notable, I've been thinking of getting a local school to maybe machine some plates for those extra handles for material cost.
Third up are the kettlebells, I have 2x20kg kettlebells and a 32kg kettlebell, all are with thick handles.
I have no picture from the garage at the moment but I do have a boxing bag there 150cm long and 46kg bag.Last edited by Roughlift; 01-25-2013 at 01:35 PM. Reason: fixing image links
