I cannot drink my protein shakes anymore...

I bought a big jug of 100% Gold Standard Whey Protein. I blend it with water before and after I work out. It tastes really bad, but I was able to drink it the first 2 days. But now, I actually cannot drink it. I was drinking it when all of a sudden I puked half of it out. Now, I can't even try to drink it. I've added milk, but the taste is still there. I've heard about adding fruits, but it doesn't seem anything would knock out that taste that makes it impossible. Its cookies and cream flavor, which was a bad choice. Is it possible to solve this? It doesn't seem like it. I really don't want to buy another one with a different flavor, it was 40$.

milk and ice bleanded makes it better, maybe a banana. If you buy again go for double choc 100% its the best IMO.

Yeah, I put in milk with it but still couldn't drink it. Im gonna try adding a banana tomorrow. If that doesn't work, I'll probably stop using it and just try to eat even more protein efficient foods.

if you haven't given the fruit idea a try i would go with that first, but if you like oatmeal then mix the powder in with that. make sure you cook the oatmeal in milk instead of water ok. oatmeal is good for you, and will fill you up. be sure to add a little sugar.

A simple trick to down any bad tasting food or drink is to hold your nose while you eat/drink.

All your sense of taste comes from your nose. Try it you will see it works






I use this method to ingest magic mushrooms, they taste absolutely HORRIBLE.

The actual taste of something comes from the smell. The tongue simply detects whether it is sweet/sour/bitter etc.

i was once drinking a diff kind of protein and it tastes really bad no flavour so what i did was mix it with yoghurt, maybe add some milo, did the job tastes alot better.

Well, first of all your mistake was getting the Cookies and Cream.

You can try 2% milk with ground oats and that's about as good as you're going to get.

and i know how you feel about the water and whey protein i tried it twice with strawverry and chocolate and both times was gagging on it and trying hard not to throw up. then i had a stomach ache for a few hours after each. one of the most disgusting things ive ever drank

1 banana
1 tbs cinamon
6-10 oz. of milk.

He's got the right idea, but the thing is a large percent of what you perceive as taste is actually smell. By cutting off that, your tastebuds are the only things receiving sensory input so the intensity of flavour isn't as bad.

how do you mix it? if you blend it its going to taste like ****. you need to stir it or shake it, and try adding more powder and less water.
what the hell flavor did you pick anyways? if you didnt already know, from now on you ALWAYS get chocolate when in doubt. never fails.

to me sounds pretty weak to me, why do you care about taste and why are you vomiting, im guessing your just starting out, cause 1year into eating the way i do i have no taste buds anymore when it comes to tasting something bad, i chew my multi vitamins and it doesnt even taste bad... im just showing u that after awhile of eating clean you arent going to worry about taste, i would say try to find a way where you can stomach it it might be a mental thing, after some months your body will get use to it
