My biggest problem in the past before I got serious about dieting, was trying to justify what I would eat that I shouldn't.

"I've done great dieting the last two days... this debbie cake won't hurt me. Look at all the cardio I did this afternoon."

"I could really use some more calories from this Cola. I have a martial arts class coming up and need the energy."

What sounds absolutely idiotic on paper, really sounds believable when you are wanting to munch.

I'm not sure what it is exactly about diet sodas (a combination of some chemicals, I think), but even though they have no calories, they seem to bloat you, and generally impeede weight loss somehow. I try to avoid them at all costs, but still have a diet Pepsi once in a while (better than normal Pepsi).

LittleSwole, you seriously need to learn punctuation.

they are perfectly ok... they bloat you... but do not slow fat loss...

this is kind of a dumb post... it's very pointless... thanks for giving people info they already know... who the hell eats cake and cookies anyway... I don't even eat that while bulking much less cutting... I'm strict... no cheat days. period.

If you want to have a 'joe louis' once a week, or a piece of cake, go for it. Believe me, the calories that you receive in a piece of cake once a week, is not going to make your abs disappear, or you won't gain back weight that you lost. Eat smart during the week, and treat yourself once a week, and you will maintain your goals, Remember, when you hit the gym WORK HARD!
