last year during track when i wanted to lose some BF this is what i did to lose weight. NOT EAT.
Some people may think its bad but seriously guys the easiest way to lose weight in a short period of time si to not eat. Im not saying to be anorexic, bt have your caloric intake at like 800 a day. drink water, havea multi, and get around 40% of calories from protein.
Some fo you might give me bad rep but im just stating the easiest way to lose weight. people.....hate it or love it

ok, a lot of us do that for wrestling weigh-ins. but in a sport like track (or most sports for that matter) where exact weight doesn't matter, why would you want to do that? just eat healthier and you'll take in less worthless calories. It's much healthier. and btw, i weighed in for certification this morning and had to make 119. all i ate last night was a single slice of cheese and i was still drained after morning weighins for most of the day. severe calorie restiction is bad unless its truly in desperation or for temporary weight-dropping.

Maybe if you ate 800 cals for a day a week, that might work. However, if you do it for more than 1 week at a time, you might as well kiss your metabolism goodbye. I've been there. I was on a 1400 calorie a day diet for a couple weeks, lost 15 pounds real quick, but i didnt lose much more fat than muscle, so it was a mistake. Personally, go for the 1-2 pound FAT loss per week by creating a slight caloric deficiency for 5 days a week, and eat maintainance level the other two. This prevents your body from going into starvation mode and keeps your metabolism high. The key to burning fat is a high metabolism.

Horrible advice. And to say it in the teen section. Alot of teens here are impressionable and may take this the wrong way. Read up on your facts before stating bullcrap advice that will end up ruining a good physique.
The people here are wanting to keep the muscle they have, the weight shouldn't matter.
This sounds like advice a teen girl would give to a friend.

Wrong Answer
You have the answer for the first step in Anorexia. Your body burns off Carbs first and Protein 2nd. Fat unfortunately is last. Starving yourself will help you lose weight very quickly. That weight will be composed of protein from Muscle fiber. You don't look at the scale to necessarily meet you goals. Do some research on what you want to accomplish physically before you start trying to cut a few pounds. The wrestlers in high school and college know all about cutting water weight for weigh ins.
