1.7.8
The time is now, "it" has begun.
It's time for a change.
Project Pisces: Genetic Manipulation 101 is new home for Fisher33 and the readers of my prior log "MuscleTech:100 Days - The Quest for Mass"
To access the previous log click here: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=4768923
This is a fresh start for both myself and any readers who wish to participate.
It's not in the supplement section because this will be more of a journal and not a supplement log, chronicling all of the madness and triumphs to come in the very near future.
It is also the new home for all of those who are in my contest:
The 92 Day Transformation Challenge.
The old log is here by - Terminated
... The Project is taking over.
It's time for a fresh attitude, a more determined drive.
It's time for discipline, hard work, sacrifice and most importantly growth.
Who wants to Grow?

Back story for new readers...
Project Pisces: Genetic Manipulation 101 (Part I)

The Quest for Mass was born, it was to be a 100 Day log ending on Jan 1st 2008!
It featured MuscleTech supplements and only MT supps.
I gained readers and threw in a contest, not related to MT, but still contained in the log.
The contest became the 92 Day Transformation Challenge.
The Challenge started on Nov 1st 2007 and goes through to Feb 1st 2008.
We started with 9 contestants and 5 judges.
One contestant we lost ("They" probably took him) - FATDADDY67 - MIA
We lost a judge and gained a new one (Yodadude16).
I extended my log to 130 Days to meet with the time line of my contest.
I quit my job, got engaged, and gained some nice weight(mostly muscle) up until the end of Nov. 2007.
In late November 2007, I became lazy and undisciplined in my eating. I became stagnant.
This log too, I fear has become stagnant (my fault).
My workouts have been sub-par and non-existent.
A 130 day log that should have ended on Jan 1st 2008!
All good things...

So here are the details for the log -- "MuscleTech: 100 Days - The Quest for Mass"
The Quest for Mass will continue, just not as it is. Project Pisces is the next step in the "Quest for Mass".
1a) Project Pisces was going to start on 02.04.08, but the time for change -- IS NOW!!!
1b) Project Pisces will take over this log effective sometime on 1.7.8
at that time, this log will terminate.
2) I will post reviews on the MuscleTech supplements sometime this week.
3) A new Thread will be started in the workout and journal section.
4) The 92 Day Transformation Challenge will continue in the Project Pisces Thread. (a link will be supplied in this log)
I invite everyone to follow along.
Project Pisces will be a change, a welcomed one.

Wow 7 posts and we still don't know squat about Pisces!
Let's first talk about the word Project.
What is the definition of project?
Project:

10. to cause (a figure or image) to appear, as on a background.

15. to use (one's voice, gestures, etc.) forcefully enough to be perceived at a distance, as by all members of the audience in a theater.
16. to communicate clearly and forcefully (one's thoughts, personality, role, etc.) to an audience, as in a theatrical performance; produce a compelling image of.
17. to cause (the voice) to appear to come from a source other than oneself, as in ventriloquism; throw.
-verb (used without object) project
18. to extend or protrude beyond something else.
19. to use one's voice forcefully enough to be heard at a distance, as in a theater.
20. to produce a clear impression of one's thoughts, personality, role, etc., in an audience; communicate clearly and forcefully.
21. Psychology. to ascribe one's own feelings, thoughts, or attitudes to others.
Kind of spooky when you think about it.
I like all of them, because they all relate to this new journal -

Fishey fish fish fish!
Pisces - The Fish
The ruler of Pisces is Neptune. Its symbol represents a pair of sea horses or sea lions yoked together.
They dwell in the innermost regions of the sea, which is symbolic of life after death or regeneration.
The image also represents a duality, the struggle of the spiritual soul within the physical body.
In Pisces, these two natures are joined, yet very much separate.
This conflict is sometimes an inhibition to natural expression.
Pisces are . . . is a difficult sentence to finish. There are so many kinds of Pisces.
Strange statement? Yes, because Pisceans are the most malleable of the twelve signs.
They possess a gentle, patient nature, but one that is in want of molding.
They can be impressed by and completely absorbed into their environment.
They are in need of a container (or project)which will shape them, guide them.
Without this guiding form, this rudder, they tend to drift.
When, however, they do find the right container, they are capable of some incredible deeds.
They will become completely absorbed in a chosen path, to the exclusion of everything else.
The 'absent minded professor' is a classic Pisces character, such as Albert Einstein.
They don't fare well in a controlled or fixed environment and generally rebel against convention.
But, unlike the Aquarian, who will fight the establishment, Pisces wages only a personal battle
My last name is Fisher - How odd?

Time - What does it all mean?
What if your birth sign is not Pisces?
It doesn't matter, we are all like a school of fish swimming towards similar destinations.
What's up with the whole alien crap?
Well...like everything, there exists a certain duality to life.
This Journal is no different. The original Project Pisces has a "certain connection" to those guys.
Care to elaborate on that connection?
No.
Will we every know what that connection is?
Through time, if you are astute, then yes.
Have you lost your mind?
On more then one occasion, yes(I always seem to find it eventually, though )
Just naming this journal what I did is a big step in moving forward for me.
By placing certain words together with search engine technology what it is today...
I basically sent up a very bright, huge bat-signal on a dark and cloudy night.
It's not a signal for help, it's a symbol of rebirth, renewal and moving on.
It's also a symbol that I am no longer hiding. (Ah...cryptic!)

First lesson - Pay attention!
Who wants to grow?
Let's look closely at a definition for the word - Grow.
Contained in post#12, Particularly definition 14b.
To come into existence; arise.
All this week, I want you to "think" about how can you come into existence, how can you arise?
Well. Don't we already exist?
My answer to that is - Do you exist the way you want to?
You are a living breathing organism, but are you truly existing the way you want to?
Are you living your life the way you want to?
So all this week, think about how you want to exist.
And then think about how you can make it possible.
Arise, and come into existence!
Words have meaning, words have power.
We frame our own world with the words we choose and speak on a daily basis.
So say to yourself (out loud) -
I will arise, I will come into existence!

First lesson - Pay attention! (part II)
Now I want you to look at the word arise
a-rise /əˈraɪz/ Pronunciation Key
-verb (used without object), a-rose, a-ris-en, a-ris-ing.
1. to get up from; rise.
2. to awaken; wake up.
3. to move upward; mount; ascend.
4. to come into being, action, or notice; originate; appear; spring up..
5. to result or proceed; spring or issue (sometimes fol. by from).
I want to arise, I will arise.
My wish is for everyone of us to arise, and come into existence.
I want you to get up, wake up, move upward, and ascend.
I want us all to notice, to proceed, and to take action.
Who wants to grow?

hello, just checking out the new thread.
just a sugestion, but if your gonna focus on size i would add in a weight gainer protein instead of using only nitro tech, personally i use true mass, on occassion up to three servings a day, and havent gained an ounce of fat. you seem to be a muscletech fan so i would check out mass tech, it seems to be very similar to True Mass

It's funny that you mention that. (Because I was going to bring that up)
I am not a fan of MuscleTech, I do like some of their products.
In the beginning I was a fan, but hey I was a newb!
***********more on that later**************************
I am returning a tub of Nitro-Tech tomorrow.
And I will be talking about how great MuscleMilk is at some point.
......everything changes at some point......

im not a big fan of musclemilk, im probably the only one but i guess everyones biology is different, i find that i dont recover well or feel as good with musclemilk as i do when im using bsn proteins. on some of my toughest days even the large amount of carbs and calories in a true mass shake arent enough. optimum nutrition has a mass gainer which is a whoping 1200 calories per shake, ive thought of trying it but ive put to much work into getting lean id hate to start putting on fat. for now my money is on true mass, syntha 6 and oh yeah bars (along with lots of grilled chicken and tuna)

MM Tastes outstanding!
MuscleMilk has fat, but it's the good fat. I've been using their products since Jan 1 st.
And I can honestly say that I am dropping more body fat now then I was before I was using MuscleMilk.
And I have only worked out like once since the first of the year! (darn cold )
I will actually be going to the gym to try my new program for the first time tonight!
Yes, go figure...I might actually work out instead of blahhh, blahhh, blaaahhhing in this Journal!
The Project is ready!

First serious day back in over 3 weeks.
Still not feeling 100%, I had an excellent workout anyway.
Started a new crazy 9 day training split, can't wait to see what results this will bring!
I am very out of shape with cardio, will have to work hard to get back into the swing of things.
It only took 8min of HIIT intervals and it blew me away.
I spent some time in the steam room afterwards(ever hear of heat-shock proteins?), felt very refreshing.
Also had some Anabolic Halo, stuff is great for recovery.

day by day , WEEK BY WEEK , recovery IS EVERYTHING . but ALSO DONT FORGET, yuor biceps might recover in 5 days and triceps might recover in 4 .
Rest between sets ALWAYS follow yuor instincts.
NEXT HIT CARDIO 2 mins at 70 % , then 2 mins at 75 % , THEN cont to whatever u feel is right, Dont forget , Alot of blood was just in yuor upper body and pushing yuor VO2 max . so to transfer to lower body .
you need to rewarm up yuor legs , walking for 2-4 wont waste anything . it will help you.

I was awakened last night by this bright light. It felt like peace. I heard a voice talking to me but it was coming from what seemed like inside my mind saying "it's time to grow" over and over. This morning I awakened suddenly sitting up the words "The Project" came out of my mouth. So here I am. Let's do the damn thing!

Excellent Job
Gotta say, first and foremost, that I'm fairly new to the bodybuilding movement. Got into it a few months ago after watching a Ronnie Coleman DVD and just got excited as all hell about it.
I read your MuscleTech Log and followed you to this one and, while deployed in Iraq, I'll be spending my free time either a) in the gym or b) here keeping tabs on you guys and the Project.
Fisher: Great logs, great motivation. Keep up the good work and keep people moving. It's a tough job, but you seem to have done a kick ass job so far.

Can Capricorn's enjoy Project Pisces
Fisher33,
I'm a Capricorn. Is it alright if I ride the Project Pisces wave, too? Just curious
