Question Has anyony tried Fat Loading for a Contest

The only person i've heard that does this is Bigcat. he said that it is better than carb loading because there is no risk of spill-over.

I would like to hear more about this.

A lot of guys I know will eat 2 slices of Pizze immediately after weigh ins. The theory (I'm told) is that without water foods high in salt and fat help to swell your muscles. I have no experience with this but I have heard a lot of guys who love it.

Since I I haven't tried it I will stick to my meat veggies and possibly rice after weigh ins. My theory is that I have been following my diet for so long without cheating I don't want to throw a new variable into the mix and possible shock my system. Bassically I am worried about having diurea or puking near competition. lol

i can understand how you can fat load "in combination with" carb loading but not " instead of" carb loading.

I hope Bigcat posts on this thread. I am sure he can add som valuable information.

Who was that question directed towards? Pizza is FULL of carbs...And bleached wheat flour has a GI very close to table suger... There you go... The Key I am told is to not have any liquads.

It was not realy a question. I was just expressing my confussion.

So, I do understand the use of carbs and fat after weight in like you explained. but what I don't understand is how somepeople dont use carbs at all to load only fat.

By the way, good luck jay. i know your show is next saturday, I'll be cheering for you.

I don't do a carb load or fat load. I do a moderate intake of each beginning 8 hourse before pre judging. I have 30-40g carbs every 2 hours and 8g of fat. 2 hours before hand though I have a pan pizza. I don't notice anything really with the carbs other than a bit more fullness but about 1.5 hours after taking in 20+g of fat I start to get really vascular. Don't really know what the mechanism is however.
    Peace
