****! you are my height and I weight the same, but I havent gained 25 lbs of muscle LOL!!! this means I need to loose a lot of fat and put on a lot of muscle...
From what I have read try eating at maintenance for like 2 weeks to make sure you are not putting on any new muscle. Then decrease calories intake by 250-500 cals/day. And as flyinlowsup said, control your carbs.
Then try to add HIIT in the morning.

For me in the past Low carb worked (atkins), also a 40% carbs 40% protein and 20% fat worked great. remember that we are talking caloric ratios here.
I think what stopped working for me was under eating, my metabolism crashed.
I have been reading about carb cycling recently I will start this diet soon (as soon as I get back home and buy supplied etc).
