Universal Storm Review
Although I haven't been on it long enough to tell how much benefit I'm getting from it, it has several pluses right off the bat. As far as mixability, I give this a 10/10. I was able to mix it completely with nothing but a straw in less than 10 seconds. 9/10 for taste. Even though I think it tastes great...basically like what a 'sweet tarts' drink would taste like if they had ever made one, it does take a little bit of getting used to. I got the Grape Splash and love the taste of it. I give it a 11/10 for not making me haul ass to the bathroom after drinking it. I can even add about 2.5g of extra mono to it and still not have any GI problems from it. Creatine mono, even with alot of carbs, usually goes straight to my stomach and sits there for awhile. I usually take an ALA (100mg) capsule with the Storm just for extra delivery assistance but even without it I handle the creatine just fine. Overall, I would say this product is a 9.5/10. Tastes good, mixes good, and the 4 different types of creatine don't cause any stress on the stomach or a-hole.

Oh yeah and value is a 10/10. Where else can you get 80 servings for less than $30?

Grape Splash. I haven't tried the Fruit Punch so I'm not sure how it compares.

Yeah, I take one serving about 45 minutes before workout and one serving post workout. I add some dextrose/extra creatine(about 2.5g) to it post workout though. And then one serving on off days.

Grape Storm beats out the fruit punch flavor by a landslide. Only problem I have with Storm is that it contains Glycocyamine.

Isn’t there something some companies add to glycocyamine to counteract or negate its potential effects?

Here it is : TMJ or betaine. You can find this pretty cheap in supplement form. Might be worth adding I guess.

Storm is an excellent creatine product. Shock Therapy, on the other hand, makes me sick. I can't wait to finish this stack up and go back to the Controlled Labs stack!

I know Storm has betanine. But it shoulld be a 4:1 ratio of the two. Betanine:Glycocyamine. If not it can affect blood levels.

Betaine is also known as trimethylglycine. Trimethylglycine is efficiently metabolized into dimethylglycine and dimethylglycine is efficiently metabolized into monomethylglycine. Each of the above demethylation reactions frees up a methyl group to be used by the body. At first, we thought a 1:1 ratio of betaine to glycocyamine would be sufficient. However, after a year of experimentation, we realized that a 4:1 ratio is optimal.
* This is where I must issue my warning. If you take glycocyamine in any dosage, it is imperative to also take at least 4 times the amount of betaine.

I don't have my Storm bottle with me right now, but according to bb.com store listings, both Storm and Shock Therapy have betaine anhydrous. I'm guessing they're in the right ratio but I don't know. Now that there is a Universal rep on the boards maybe he can answer that.

Yeah, just as of today there's a universal rep. I think it's the first time there's been one here.

i went through a supply of storm and noticed nothing. i'm begining to question all universal products. i bought NOX3 from universal and am almost finished with that supply and won't buy it again. half the pills are busted in half and i'm not seeing much from it. although one product i used and liked from them was real gains - put on about 10 pounds. also have been taking animal pak for months now but realizing its somwhat costly and can get basically the same thing for less.

Wow I did this review a long time ago! Anyway, as far as I know the new versions of Storm and Shock Therapy do not contain glycocyamine.

I have been using Storm for a while now. I like its effects. I also am on my 2nd cycle of taking Animal Pack. I took it about 3 months ago and just never bought it again. I didnt notice what it was doing for me until I stopped taking it. Now that I am on it again I feel totally different.
