    lentils-a good addition to lunch?

    i usually eat a meal about an hour after my pwo protein shake and i usually have 1/2cup sweet potato cubes, i was going to add 1/4 cup cooked lentils to this to some steamed spinach. do lentils cause gas or bloating, they are a good supply of vitamins, minerals and fiber which is why i wanted to start eating them.

    Sounds like they are a good source of protein and carbs. I would think they would be fine, as long as they fit in with what you are eating. Ive never had them myself, so I dont know if they cause bloating or not, but I would assume that is individual anyway. Sounds like they are pretty good for you.

    I've never had a problem w/ lentil bloating! lol...don't eat them often, but they're good!

    Me either. They are some of my fav things to eat though I would definitely recoomend giving them a try

    I eat them quite frequently and don`t notice any digestive problems. Now, my husband...that`s a different story!
