how to throw a football further? (Ill work on accuracy later)

I want to try out for QB next year and was wondering what should I do to assist in my football throwing skills? I always thought tricep strength was the key but theres guys smaller than me throwing further.

    so whats the deal?

    thanks

You just have to get out and throw as much as you can 4 days a week. Start warm-ups 5-10 yards about 25 throws, back up 15 yards 25 throws, backup to 20 yards 25 throws, and then jump to 30 yards and just throw as many as you can.

As long as your mechanics are good you should be fine.

and you know how you do that? Its done by reps of throwing the more you throw the strong it is, sure you could use weights but thats not the only way.

Its mostly technique, core & leg strength. Look at Farve not a huge upper body and he throws as hard or as far as anyone else in the league but he and everyother QB has a strong base and core.
