My butcher gave me two pounds of beef fat! What can I do with it?

but if you feel that's a waste look at your macros and fit it into your saturated fat allowance. but remember there are better sources of saturated fat..

Though I found out what to do with it! Some restaurants use it as a pan greaser. They run a cube of it around the pan to grease it up. So I cubed it all, put it in the freezer, and will use accordingly.

No, animal fat is actually mostly unsaturated. And there is nothing wrong with saturated fat. Don't buy into the grain and soy farmers' and US government's bull**** that sat fat is bad.

Cut it into small portions, vacuum pack if possible and freeze. Use as needed. But don't keep it more than 6-12 months or it will go rancid, even frozen.

You lucky bastard I can't find a single local butcher who even has pure beef lard in their possesion. They all say "it doesn't sell, so it ain't worth the price of having it shipped."
