    Overcoming pain

    Are there any techniques you guys use to overcome pain when lifting, and make that one extra rep?

    i have a slightly torn deltoid and a hyperextended tricep. I still give it every thing ive got when i go at it. I sometimes have to take a break but i still finish out my sets or fail in the process. Just dont let the pain hinder you.

    iv got a little injury to my left rotator cuff, suprinatus, i think its called. it happened 5 weeks ago now. still cant OH press that well. i just pop 600mg ibuprofen b4 and possible after.
    but if its just a normal rep on normal set. just do it man!

    Don't you think it'd be wiser to take some time off? I had the exact same injury haunt me for 3 months straight then I took 2 weeks off and it finally went away.
    Less thunder in mouth, more lightning in hand.
