So I got my wisdom teeth pulled out today...

This morning I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled and basically the question I am asking is what kind of foods would be good (soft foods or protein shakes basically) would be good choices to eat? So far I've had a couple of protein shakes and Muscle Milk Pudding to hold me over so far. Another concern I have is my weightlifting/cardio regimine. I plan on doing some relatively easy cardio starting tomorrow and advancing afterwards when needed. I probably won't weightlift for a couple more days but any sort of advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Why do you have to get yours pulled? It didn't really hurt during of course but after not really. There is a little discomfort (I had the surgery at 10AM) but at around 7 there wasn't really anything in pain. It's nothing that bad; however, I had to change my gauze several times so the only really thing that will be kinda gross is that those holes where the wisdom teeth were at will bleed for a while and it just stopped for me about three hours ago.

Thanks dpeterson75. BTW, how long did it take for you to get back into the gym (weightlifting and/or cardio) after your wisdom teeth were pulled?

My friend just got his pulled and I was the designated driver because he was very loopy on drugs and really sleepy. They told me he could eat whatever basically as long as it wasn't something with too much chewing, nothing really crunchy. Did they give you a bunch of meds, or prescriptions for them? I'm not sure what you should be doing up to 7 days after the surgery. You should probably call the office and ask them

    Wisdom Teeth

I have to get mine out on the 7th of January. I figured I can look at it as a planned break or something, because I havent taken more than two days off lifting within the last year. I'm kind of excited for the drugs, haha
    "I embrace my desire to
feel the rhythm, to feel connected
enough to step aside and weep like a widow
to feel inspired, to fathom the power,
to witness the beauty, to bathe in the fountain,
    to swing on the spiral
of our divinity and still be a human."

I got mine out on the 26th and was lifting again by the 28th. For me the pain afterwards was pretty bad, but tylenol made it better. Also, I filled up like 8 bowls of bloody drool, but I've pretty much stopped drooling now.
