Question for owners of Octane Q37 or Q47 elliptical

I am in the market for an elliptical. I looked closely at at the life fitness and octane models. I am leaning toward the octane because I like the motion a bit better and I also liked the programs including the the upper body - arm blaster programs and lower body programs.

I am really interested in hearing feedback from users of the octane elliptical. Are the arm blaster and glute programs gimmicks or are they useful? What about the variable stride capability?

Needless to say, the increased price to go from the base to the Q37 or Q47 is significant. I am trying to figure out what upgrades are worth spending the extra $$$ for. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hey,

I've got an Octane Q37E with the wireless heart rate monitor and I really love the unit. Had it for a little over a year. Very comfortable to use and extremly smooth. As far as the programs go, I don't really care for the arm blaster program, but the glute kicker will does give you a great workout. The arm blaster just feels kinda awkward to me. The unit is built very well, we have 4 people in the house that continuously use it and not a sign of wear on it. Our unit doesnt have the adjustable stride length, so I can't really comment on that.

Hope that helped. If you got more question feel free to ask.
