Guys, for anyone that's considering travelling to Singapore DO NOT.
Everyone thinks it's a modern democratic society, it's a barbaric, dictatorship.
The 'justice' system is linked with the government, if a customs officer feels like it he can simply say that creatine powder you're carrying is actually crack cocaine and the legal system will back him up and you will be hanged.
It has the worst record of human rights abuse per capita and the most executions in the world.
After doing some research I found a case where the legal system forced the opposition party to pay $500,000 to the state for something completely fabricated and if they can't pay it they lose their party registration.

Absolutely out of order!
cyclops: this thread is to get ppl from singapore who has the same passion in body building to get together.. not a thread to show how ignorant one can be... perhaps it might even be a steriod rage speaking..
"The 'justice' system is linked with the government, if a customs officer feels like it he can simply say that creatine powder you're carrying is actually crack cocaine and the legal system will back him up and you will be hanged." do u have any evidence of this statement? or is this just the sounds of an empty barrel shaking to get attention?
"It has the worst record of human rights abuse per capita and the most executions in the world." again, i implore u to show some facts about these statements that u made. if not, please state that this is just merely your opinion..
and the 'research' that you did, could you provide the facts again? i could just as easily say that after my research, cycplos is a a one eye giant with an IQ lower then the number of eyes he has...
the entire message that got carried across was that the Singapore Government is corrupt, and "if a customs officer feels like it he can simply say that creatine powder you're carrying is actually crack cocaine and the legal system will back him up and you will be hanged". well, unless you are from Iceland, Finland, New Zealand or Denmark, your country would be rated lower then Singapore in the 2005 Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index (http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0781359.html). This survey has placed Singapore as the fifth least corrupt country..
Thus, if one wants to make erroneous statements, he/she should at least go check out how far his opinions are true...

Evidence? What evidence do I need to prove a fundamental law?

My evidence is from http://web.amnesty.org/library/Index...pen&of=ENG-SGP
A reputable, international organisation.
The site states:
"It is a composite index, drawing on 16 surveys from 10 independent institutions, which gathered the opinions of businesspeople."
Obviously, businesspeople from a nation that's run under a dictatorship would not speak out as they would be well aware of the punishment of severe cainings and jail sentences. I've read of people speaking their own mind in blogs and receiving jail sentences for racial slurs -nothing even regarded as serious in proper, democratic nations.
Here in my own country of Australia I sometimes take for granted my right to free speech, the ability to be heard and a free press. Singapore has none of these.
I find it amusing that you didn't even bother to attempt to rebut any of my arguements relating to the barbaric dictatorship and the use of capital punishments. It's worth noting capital punishment is carried via out hangings. No society that considers itself civilised should be carrying out these attrocities, we aren't living in the Middle Ages.
You can't honestly tell me hangings are humane, can you?
I remember when Bill Clinton stepped in when an American citizen was caught keying a car and was ready to receive 50 slashings from police officers. I just hope for the sake of the people of Singapore international pressure will force the government to remove these rediculous laws.

Good luck!
